Brandon sophomore Carson Juntilla pushed a bunt to the right side to walk off the win for the Eagles against Tampa Bay Tech. Marcos Herrand (two runs), Fisher Smith, and Daniel Santana (double, run) each had two hits in the win. Tres Toled struck out five, earning the win with five innings of relief. TBT’s Evan Mobley was 2-for-3 with a run and RBI while striking out nine in a no-decision, and Jonnathan Figueroa drove in a run.

Senior Gavin Hunter’s RBI double in the second inning proved all the offense needed, as fellow senior Lukas Chunn allowed one run on the mound in 6 2/3 innings to earn the win for the Sharks. Sophomore Adrian Rolon hit his first home run of his high school career, driving in Kipp Kochera in the sixth, and Dominic Lopez earned his first save. For the Knights, Jeremiah Henderson doubled in the sixth and was driven in on a Robert Chatfield single.

Academy at the Lakes topped Tampa Prep on the road on Thursday as Josiah Bayona was 2-for-3, scoring three runs and driving in one, with Alex Carmichael going 2-for-3 with an RBI and Tanner Pelaez struck out five earning the win and Evan Riley picking up a save with four innings on the mound. For the Terrapins, Jose Pena and Ty Jones (three RBI) homered in the loss, and Roger Haughey was 3-for-4 with a double, run and RBI.
