Zack McQuiston carried a no-hitter into the sixth, before finally yielding some offense to visiting Foundation Christian as Cambridge Christian earned its seventh-straight win. The Lancers junior allowed a single hit and one run, striking out nine and now has 64 strikeouts in just 35 innings this season. Brody Bellomo (two stolen bases) and Leyton Parmer each had two hits in the win for Cambridge Christian. The Panthers got an RBI double from Garrett Porter, and Ryan Messing drove in a pair in the loss.

Sarasota Out-of-Door 1 – five innings

Cade Kurland’s 10th home run of the season also gave the Buccaneers graduating-junior a school-record 118 hits, breaking the previous mark set by Berkeley Prep assistant coach Bubba Olivera. Kurland also had a double and a walk, driving in three and scoring three times as the Bucs picked up the team’s 21st win on the season. Owen McElfatrick was 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI and scored twice, and Andrew Jergins struck out seven, allowing one run on two hits across five innings.

Jefferson battled back twice, including erasing a five-run Cowboys lead early in the game. Senior Julian Vargas pitched three innings of relief, allowing one run and striking out a pair to earn the win. Alliuq Troupe’s two-run single in the home-sixth to provide the difference as the Dragons won at home. Troupe was 2-for-3 with two more RBI in the win, while Jayden Vazquez and Alejandro Aguilar both scored twice and had two hits. For Gaither, Scout Simpson was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run, and Josh Choe was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Plant won out in a long-ball battle as both the Panthers and Alonso belted three home runs each. Bryce Pelleriti’s fourth inning grand slam proved the difference as Plant won its 15th game. Conley Strayer (3-for-4, three runs) and Thomas Bolton (2-for-3, two runs) homered, with Bolton also earning the save with two innings pitched. Robert Satin struck out six in five innings on the mound to earn his fourth win. Alonso got home runs from Christopher Morgan, Juan Munoz and Eric Duran-Padua. Michael Hawks was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI for Plant.
