Jorge Romero (2-for-4, two runs) cleared the bases with a three-run double in the sixth as Steinbrenner rallied for the Warriors third win of the season. Aiden Forde (3-for-4) followed immediately with a RBI single to salt the Warriors win away. Austin Liss struck out 11 in a five-inning no-decision, and Ethan Humphreys picked up the win in relief with four strikeouts in two innings. Sophomore Noah Fowler added a pair of singles to the win, and Charles Williams doubled. Nicholas Brown was 2-for-3 for the Lions with a double, a run and an RBI.

Jeremiah Henderson walked in the 11th inning of a tied game, moved to third on an error and scored the deciding run on a line drive single to right from Tucker Wehrman as Robinson won a battle at home against Riverview. Henderson and Wehrman, along with Alex DeLise each had two hits in the win, while both teams saw excellent pitching including six strong innings from Knights senior Russell Sandefer (two unearned, three strikeouts) and scoreless innings of relief from Brady Hardin (three strikeouts) and Harrison Skipper (W, 2ip, three strikeouts). A trio of Riverview juniors Michael Sims-Gallagher, Jeff Berrios, and Anthony Jacquez combined for nine strikeouts for the Sharks.

An RBI single by Isaac Machado and a two-run double by Joseph DiCecco added some late insurance for BDCHS. Tampa Prep senior LaPlace Sallis stayed hot in the loss, going 2-for-4 with his second double and first triple of the year.

Durant’s Dylan LaPoint (solo) and Noah Morales (3-run) each homered as the Cougars picked up a road win at Gaither on Thursday. Preston Rodgers allowed one unearned run in four innings of work, while striking out five to earn the win. Morales also had an RBI sac fly early in the game, and Blaine Rowland was 2-for-2 with an RBI for the Cougars. Scout Simpson had two hits for the Cowboys, and Steven Rojas struck out six in a losing effort.

Zack Bird worked 4 1/3 scoreless for Lennard with four strikeouts and allowed five hits. Antonio Davis (4ip, R, K) and JJ Shipherd (3ip, one unearned, 3 K’s) pitched well for Hillsborough in the loss.

A two-runs single by Hershey Sanchez and an RBI double from Brian Canasi in the second inning pushed Tampa Catholic out ahead early against Bradenton Christian and five Crusaders pitchers held the Lions to just two runs on two hits. Junior Roman Corinti struck out all four hitters he faced, earning the win in relief for TC. Maddox King sparked the Crusaders offense from leadoff, going 2-for-3 with a triple, three runs and three RBI, while Sanchez (three RBI), Canasi and Danny Lazaro also each collected two hits in the win.
