Carrollwood Day battled back, scoring six runs in the home-sixth as senior Brennan Leonhardt cut IMG’s lead in half with a two-run double, Nick Riedel tied the game with a pinch-hit single, and Calvin Dickey stole home for what proved to be the deciding run. Logan Babb held Blue to just two hits working 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, while striking out five and earning the win.

Sophomore Brandon Gonzales earned his second win in as many starts, delivering a five-inning start and striking out nine while allowing just on hit for Sickles. Cameron Guise drove in the first run on a single and had a second single and scored in the third, and Luke Fikar was 3-for-5 with a double for the Gryphons. Jacari Sandlin hit a two-run homer in the sixth for the Lions.
