Sophomore Austin Liss needed just 74 pitches to work a complete-game shutout for Steinbrenner on Friday, finishing with nine strikeouts and no walks. Aidan Forde lined an RBI single into left in the first inning to put the Warriors, and later added a two-run single in the third. Chase Conti took the loss for the Hawks, allowing three earned runs, but did strike out seven in his six innings of work.

Christian Burney‘s RBI single in the bottom of the sixth for the Barons, answered a game-tying SLAM run in the top-half as the two teams split on a home-and-away series this week. Zack Walker allowed four runs on six hits for the Spartans, pitching six innings and striking out four. Andrew Bunner and Kevin Gutierrez (double, run) each had two hits and an RBI for SLAM. For SPC Rocco Geritano was 2-for2 with a triple and two runs scored.

Keswick’s Cade Palestra collected his his third single to lead off the bottom of the ninth, worked around and scored on a passed ball in an extra-inning game. Jacob Levesque earned his third win of the season, working two scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts. For the Panthers, Jacob Ananias doubled and drove in a pair, and also struck out four in 3 1/3 innings on the mound.

Ian Bast struck out 11 in five innings of work as Seffner Christian defeated Cambridge Friday night. Ethan Duncan was 4-for-4, with a double, RBI, and two runs scored; Collin McNeal had two hits, and drove in three as the Crusaders put up 16 hits. A tough outing for Cambridge pitching, but Zach McQuiston and Ethan Goebert each had five strikeouts, and freshman William Snider retired both hitters he faced with line outs.

Samuel Fernandez singled in a run in the first, as Alonso scored a pair in its first and final at-bats to defeat East Bay. Starter Landon Nunez improved to 3-0 on the year, working five innings, allowing one run and striking out a pair, before Vincent Antuna finished off the final two innings, also striking out two. Senior Ben Drumheller was 2-for-4 for the Ravens and drove in a run. Kyler Browning lined an RBI double in the fourth for East Bay.
