Plant and Strawberry Crest traded first-inning runs on RBI hits by Bryce Pelleriti and Alex Philpott, before the Panthers took the lead for good the next inning on a Tanner Swank RBI ground ball. Plant continued its impressive run in the Saladino Gold Division, now outscoring opponents 26-3 and earning a spot in Wednesday’s tournament final against Sickles, taking place at Jesuit at 7 p.m. The Panthers slapped out 11 singles with Pelleriti going 2-for-3 with a run scored, Jack Meade going 3-for-3 with a run and RBI, and Thomas Bolton collecting three hits and earning his third win on the mound this season.

King 1 – five innings

Robinson senior Joe Whitaker had an RBI sac fly, solo home run and a two-run double as the Knights secured a spot in the Saladino Silver Division final with a mercy-rule win over King to wrap-up pool play. Nine Knights batters pitched up a hit with Garrett Hudson doubling and Cameron Duss tripling in the win. Douglas Alvarino was 2-for-3 with an RBI for King. Robinson has won six-straight heading into the Silver final.

Matthew Counts and Logan Covey (2-for-3) singled in runs in the first and third respectively, as the Longhorns remained undefeated in a 2-0 win against East Bay. Alex Brazer allowed two hits across four innings and struck out seven, before Sebastian Munoz pitched two hitless innings, and John Smith finished things off for the save. Smith also scored both runs for Lennard. East Bay’s Ben Potsic took the loss, despite pitching a complete game and striking out three.
