Tribute to Coach Billy Reed


Prior to Tuesday’s nightcap at Brandon, there was a special moment of silence for former Middleton and Hillsborough coach, Billy Reed, who passed away in December (click here for a link to our story on the coaching legend).


Then Mr. Reed’s daughter Dori Reed Blanc threw out a ceremonial first pitch in honor of her father.

Brandon 5, Armwood 1

Tyler Castelli gave Armwood the second-inning lead with an RBI single to left, but a double from Kamren Gittens tied things in the bottom half of the inning as Brandon added four runs late to top Armwood in the late game Tuesday evening. Marcus Lawrence and Gabriel Rosado added RBI singles to the Eagles’ four-run sixth to push Brandon to the win. Jermaine White struck out eight in four innings to earn the win on the mound. For Armwood, Manuel Maldonado was 2-for-3 with a double in the loss.
