Tampa Bay Tech jumped out to a quick two-run lead on Steinbrenner but couldn’t get out of its own way as the Titans allowed five Steinbrenner runs on just on hit in the second inning. The Warriors got just five hits including triples from Daniel Delgado (two runs scored) and Jacob Baker (RBI) and held off a late TBT charge. The Titans got multi-hit games from Jaylen Crumity, Taylor Borkowski, Roderick Thomas, and Joe Lewis (a double and a triple)

A two-run Ryan Martin single in the sixth broke a tie game as Brooks-DeBartolo defeated Robinson Wednesday afternoon. Logan Eade was 3-for-4, with a double and two runs scored, and Stephuan Haylock had a pair of RBI on two hits for the Phoenix. For the Knights, Chase Volpi was 3-for-3, with a run, a stolen base and an RBI.

Alonso 13, Middleton 1 (five innings)

Sam Drumheller cranked a three-rn home run to right field in the third and Andrew Lara had a solo shot in the first to lead Alonso to a mercy-rule win against Middleton.

Alonso claimed the Pool 1 top spot via the runs allowed tie-breaker, allowing five runs in its three games, one less than Gaither and four less that Durant, which also finished 2-1 in pool-play.

The Ravens face Leto at Brandon High on Thursday at 4 p.m.
