Ralph Kirk, William Padua and Daryl Flintroy came through with RBI singles in a seven-run frame for Spoto, but the Spartans couldn’t hold off steady hitting by Newsome throughout as the Wolves came back for an 11-9 win. Josh Costlow was 2-for-3 for Newsome, scoring twice and driving in four runs, while Zach Benson, Sawyer Smith and Jack Tomich (double) each had two hits for the Wolves. Trey Cruz earned the win on the mound tossing 2 1/3 innings of one hit baseball and striking out five.
