King 6, Lennard 2

Jacob Cordell led off the second with a double to center before scoring on a Zarrian Brinson single, followed by an RBI single by Carlos Fernandez later in the frame to put King on the boards as the Lions won on the road over Lennard. Justice Thompson added an RBI double and a steal of home to extend King’s lead and provide all the runs the team would need. Keyon Floyd was 2-for-2 in the win, while Hishaam Shafiq also had a double for the Lions. Zan Rose tossed five innings to earn the win, allowing two runs (one earned), on four hits, with three strikeouts, and Josh Keding worked the final two innings

Gaither’s Orlando Arevalo went 2-for-3, with a pair of RBI, Danny Gutcher and Derek Crum each tripled and scored twice as the Cowboys defeated East Bay at home on Saturday. Junior Roy Peguero earned the win on the mound allowing one run over five innings on the mound, with three strikeouts.

Leto pounded out 13 hits to rally for a big win against Steinbrenner. Jorge Carrero went 2-for-3, with four RBI and hit his first home run of the season to lead the Falcons. Javy Hernandez was 3-for-4, with a run and RBI, Josh Cruz went 2-for-4, with two runs scored, and Jon Santos was 2-for-4, with two stolen bases. Noah Luke and Garrett Reynolds had doubles for Steinbrenner in the loss.
