Tilden Agee hit his second home run (a 2-run shot) of the season for the Lancers, but Cambridge Christian couldn’t hold off Lakeland Christian as errors and walks mounted up. The Vikings got a solid outing on the mound from junior Cade Kontny, who worked 6 1/3 innings with five strikeouts. The loss halts a 13-game winning streak for Cambridge Christian, which travels to Sarasota to face Cardinal Mooney on Tuesday.

Bloomingdale hung an eight-spot on Durant in the first inning as Nico Saladino and Jett Davis each had RBI doubles in the frame. Davis and Bryce Hazzard each had two hits and two RBI in the win, while Dominic Gonnella went 3-for-3, with four RBI, and Jackson Hobbs was 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Junior lefty Myles Caba improved to 4-1 on the year, allowing just one hit and striking out five, working all five innings of the mercy-rule win.

Riverview junior Ben Migliarese hit a line drive single to left field as the Sharks walked off against Steinbrenner in the eighth inning. Cameron Vigh got things started in the first for the Sharks with a two-run double, Zach Hawkins hit a two-run home run – his first of the season in the fourth, and Kyle Knees worked four, no-hit innings of relief to pick up his first win of the season. Steinbrenner’s Jesse O’Rorke had a pair of doubles in the loss, and Noah Luke had a double as well.

Carrollwood Day senior Frank Furey belted his second home run of the season to help the Patriots to a mercy-rule, district win over Bell Creek. Andre Hevesy and Rodrigo Montenegro collected a pair of RBI each, and senior Gabriel Partridge earned his sixth win of the season, workin four innings on the mound, issuing one walk and striking out six.

Jesuit freshman BJ Graham led the way for the Tigers with a 3-run home run, an RBI sac fly and a bases loaded walk in the mercy-rule, district win. Senior Javi Baldor doubled, tripled, and drove in a pair in the win, while Bennett Lee (two RBI), McGuire Weaver (double, RBI) and Joseph Casale (two RBI) each had two hits. Sophomore Alex Bryant struck out three, while allowing one hit across three scoreless innings to pick up the win on the mound.
