Ocala Trinity Catholic 2, Berkeley Prep 1
Berkeley Prep took a third-inning lead as Carson Weekley singled to start the frame and eventually scored on a Jonathan Bruno single to center, but the Buccaneers could hold off Trinity Catholic in the Class 4A region semifinal. Senior Sam Bennett tossed five innings, allowing two runs (one earned) and striking out six. Trinity Catholic added a run each in the fourth and fifth, tying the game on an error and taking the lead on a Ryan Rogers RBI single to left. Berkeley Prep finished with seven hits, including a double from Bruno and Alex Haire in the loss.

Calvary Christian 4, Orlando The First Academy 1
Calvary Christian remained undefeated and got one step closer to defending its Class 4A state title with a win over The First Academy. Senior Nolan Hudi struck out 11 in a complete-game effort, scattering four hits and allowing one run. Lucas Banta went 3-for-3, with a run scored, Eric Kennedy had two hits and a run, and the Warriors got RBI from Matheu Nelson, Justin Bench and Tommy White in the win. Calvary Christian will travel to Ocala to take on Trinity Catholic in the region final next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
