Bell Creek made three Wildcats errors hurt in the first inning, scoring four runs and never looking back as the Panthers cruised to a mercy-rule shortened, six-inning win. Reece Black finished with three RBI and a triple for Bell Creek, while Ethan Byrd (win), Ethan Furst and Nolan Lalond combined on the mound limiting Academy at the Lakes to two runs on five hits.

Austin Grause struck out a dozen over six innings of shutout work, before turning it over to Roy Peguero to strikeout the side in the seventh as Gaither cruised to its first win of the season. Derek Crum, Sebastian Greico (double), and Ruban Espinal each had two hits and an RBI in the game, while Willie Jackson also drove in a run on a double in the win.
