Bloomingdale picked up a good road win over Plant as Colby Shelton’s two-run single in the fifth gave the Bulls all the runs needed, and Kyle Merkle’s two-run homer in the seventh sealed the deal. Dominic Gonnella started the scoring for the Bulls with an RBI double, and Myles Caba pitched a complete game to earn his fourth win on the year. Plant senior Gabe Rincones doubled and scored a run, while Sac Caglianone and J.D. Urso had RBI.

Tampa Prep scored three runs in the seventh as the Terrapins got a double from Griffin Ravo (2-for-3) and singles by Ben Mensch and Jack Doney, but all three runs came on a pair of Marauders errors.

The Panthers were led on the mound with six strong innings from sophomore Ethan Byrd, who allowed just three hits and struck out four. Reece Black was 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI.

Jesuit had to dig deep for a comeback win at Middleton on Friday. The Tigers move to 6-0 in district play with a three-run fifth, keyed by a two-RBI double by Andrew Kynes and a run-scoring single from Jimmy Clifford. Bennett Lee added some insurance in the sixth with a RBI triple. Justin Clark struck out 10 in five innings on the mound for Jesuit. Marques Smith had an RBI triple in the first and an RBI groundout in the sixth for Middleton.

Tyler Misla earned his first win of the season allowing just two hits in five shutout innings, MacAllister Jorgensen was 3-for-3, scoring a trio of runs, and Ben Migliarese had a double and scored twice.
