The Crusaders put up a six-run third inning as Joey Jensen and Daniel Tomasello sparked the inning with RBI doubles to push the game out of reach. Ben Cheek had a pair of doubles a runs scored and an RBI and Clay Odiorne had a two-hit, run and RBI day at the plate.

Dylan McDonald’s leadoff home run to center gave Wharton all it needed in a district win over Palm Harbor. But the Wildcats weren’t through there as McDonald would add a double and three runs scored on the night in support of three Wharton pitchers, who scattered four Hurricanes hits. Michael Rivera earned the win with four innings on the mound and three strikeouts. Tyson Sutton singled, scored once and had an RBI for the Wildcats.

East Bay scored a pair of late runs, highlighted by an Aaron Jackson (2-for-3) RBI single.

Senior Eli Garner worked five innings on the mound to get the win, allowing two runs and striking out four. Riverview got a two-run triple from Jaden Ross, and Macallister Jorgensen also tripled and scored in the loss.

Dylan Degusipe picked up the save recording strikeouts for the final two outs. Hillsborough’s lone run came on a Tanner Jones (2-for-4) RBI single.

Plant senior Reece Blanco drove in two of his three runs in the eighth inning as Plant picked up an extra-inning, district win on the road at Alonso. Conley Strayer was 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored, while Matt Ward doubled, scored and drove in a run. Junior Jac Caglianone worked two shutout innings of relief to pick up the win on the mound, striking out three. Renzo Gonzalez drove in a pair in a two-hit night for Alonso, and Sam Drumheller and Ty Bitman also chipped in two hits.

Brandon picked up its first win of the season topping Blake on the road as Kendall Spencer was 3-for-4, with a double, triple, an RBI and three runs scored; Isaiah Soler doubled in a pair of runs, Therron Cooper was 2-for-3 with four RBI and scored twice, and Abraham Josephe scored three times, reaching base in four plate appearances. Tres Toledo worked three innings on the mound, allowing just two hits and striking out six to pick up the win.

Cole Russo’s RBI single and a three run triple off the bat of Johnathan Shoop gave Jesuit all the runs it would need in the first inning to defeat visiting Boca Ciega on Thursday. Tigers senior Josh Mallitz allowed one run on three hits, while striking out four in a winning effort on the mound. Henry Politz had an RBI triple and the Tigers added three more on consecutive bases loaded walks to hang another four-run inning in the fifth.

Chamberlain senior Brennan Hyde hit the first home run of his high school career, but that was all the scoring the Chiefs would offer, dropping a mercy-rule game to River Ridge. The Royal Knights had a four-hit, four-run night from Chris Abbott, while Derek Francis had a pair of hits and three RBI.

Senior Jack Doney struck out six over six innings of work to earn his second win of the season, and Robert Birk notched the save with a pair of strikeouts in the seventh.

For King, Quentin Meadows drove in two, while Christian Cabina and Chris Hendricks (double) each had RBI in the loss.
