Seffner Christian 2, Bradenton Inspiration Acad 1 – nine innings

Josh Foster’s RBI sac fly ended the game for the Crusaders as Seffner Christian won its seventh straight on Tuesday. Spencer Boynton and Benny Cheek combined for four-plus innings each as the Crusaders duo allowed one run on three hits, with Cheek picking up the win. Dylan Cheeley was 2-for-3 with a double and scored the winning run.

Bell Creek senior Brendan Gerena-Lee was 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and five RBI as the Panthers defeated Carrollwood Day on Tuesday. Manny Dooley allowed one run over three innings to earn the win and Ian Burgin pitched four innings to pick up the save.

Berkeley Prep 3, Tampa Prep 2

Berkeley Prep scratched three runs out and held off a late rally to pick up a road win at Tampa Prep. Will Parkinson spun five innings, allowing just one hit and striking out seven to earn the win. Connor Leach went 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Bucs offense, Cade Kurland was 3-for-4, with a pair of runs scored and Roman Samson had two hits, including a double, a run scored and RBI. Tampa Prep got a solo home run from Owen Fulton in the seventh and added one more on a Jaden Holder RBI groundout, but the Terrapins could finish off the comeback.

Carson Caso improved to 4-0 on the season, tossing 5 1/3 innings on the mound and striking out four. The Wildcats jumped out to a 4-run lead in the first keyed by a two-run single from Tyson Sutton. Steinbrenner got on the board thanks to a Tayden Hall RBI double in the third.
