After two excellent starts on the mound, Wharton finally broke through against Steinbrenner’s Joey Daniels in the sixth inning when David Limback and Elijah Dukes singled in runs, and Tyson Sutton pushed the lead out with a two run hit to left. Junior Ryan Fry struck out six in 6 1/3 innings before James Strom’s two-run homer brought Evan Chrest to the mound to close the door with a six-pitch save, including a strikeout. Daniels went 5 1/3 striking out four for the Warriors.

Gaither’s Bryce Busa bookended a win with an RBI fielder’s choice in the first, and singled to right walking off a district win for the Cowboys in extra-innings. Senior Colin Jackson provided three no-hit innings of relief, striking out five after a solid start on the mound from Austin Grause, who struck out nine. Miguel Pina was 3-for-4 in the win scoring a pair for Gaither.

Freedom’s Raul Olivera led off the home-ninth with a double and pinch-hitter Ian Potts got to play hero singling in the walk-off run as the Patriots avenged an early-March loss to the Pirates in nine innings. Gabriel Pollard had a pair of hits and scored twice, while Gio Mendoza double, singled and drove in a run. Joey Wey improved to 4-2 on the year, allowing one unearned run in three innings of work. Corey Filley drove in a pair for Pasco, while Quentin Sandoval went 2-for-4, scoring once.

Brett Martin had a pinch hit, RBI double and Nick April-Gath drove in an insurance run as Durant won out against Strawberry Crest in the 10th inning. Dylan LaPointe had a pair of doubles and drove in a pair for the Cougars, while starting pitcher Sean Hermann struck out 14 – his fifth start of the season with double-digit punch outs. Senior Zander Fisk pitched 3 2/3 no-hit innings to earn the win. For Crest, senior Colby Fanning had three hits, including a double scoring once, Zach Redner was 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring once, and had seven strikeouts, but was tagged with the loss on the mound.

Bulls junior Colby Shelton stayed red-hot, picking up his fifth-straight multi-hit game doubling and hitting his second home run in as many games (third on the season) as Bloomingdale handled King on Tuesday. Bulls junior Jake Nolte struck out three in four innings of work to earn his first win. For King, Douglas Alvarino tripled in the third and David Twiddy singled in the Lions lone run.
