Will Sotiropoulos was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI, and Ben Mensch doubled and scored a run for Tampa Prep, while Ty Jones earned a win with four innings pitch and four strikeouts, and Roger Haughey picked up a three-inning save, allowing one hit and striking out five.

Carrollwood Day 0 – five innings

Berkeley Prep sophomore Cade Kurland homered in his first at bat of the game starting a big nine-run first for the Buccaneers in a five-inning win over Carrollwood Day. Knox Meier would add a grand slam to the frame, and Jonathan Bruno would double in a pair, and Kurland would triple in a run in the fifth to end it early. Will Parkinson tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out five. Seven different Patriots hitters had singles in the game.

Longhorns sophomore Tyler Ewell singled into right field driving in Andrew Gingrich in a walk-off, extra-inning win for Lennard. Carter Payne pitched 4 2/3 innings of shutout baseball, striking out four to earn the win. Malachi Hill went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI for Robinson.

Daniel Santana hit an RBI single to push Brandon ahead of King in a four-run seventh inning as the Eagles rallied for a road win. Josh Blake added an RBI single for an insurance run later in the innings, Marcos Herrand earned the win with eight strikeouts, and Tres Toledo struck out a pair in the seventh for the save. For King, Christian Cabina was 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Bennett Weinard drove in a run, and pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run and striking out three.

Danny Garica was 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI for the Bulls, Jack Nolte earned his second win of the season, Chase Chappell pitched three scoreless innings and Trey Wilson earned the save, entering the game in the sixth. Louie Guy doubled and drove in a pair for the Hawks.

Jesuit’s AJ Nessler led off the home second with a double, scored on a wild pitch and Bradke Lohry tripled in a run to push the Tigers to a win over Tampa Catholic. Dom Castellano pitch six innings, allowing one run, and striking out nine. Cole Russo had a double and drove in two, and Jake Kulikowski hit a triple and dove in one. Andrew Salzman singled in Rolando Jimenez in the fifth for Tampa Catholic.

Adrian Gutierrez’s RBI double (his third hit of the game) tied the game in the fifth, and an RBI sac bunt by Chase Jackson proved the deciding offense later in the inning, and earned Jackson the win on the mound, working four innings allowing just one hit and striking out four. For the Terriers, Cameron Mallo had two hits, an RBI and scored twice, while Jack Slater was 2-for-2 with a run scored.
