Senior Aidan Dorrell and Cole Gonzalez delivered a gem for Steinbrenner as the Warriors picked up one run and held off Sumner. Dorrell picked up his second win of the season, with nine strikeouts through four innings, while Gonzalez earned the save with three innings and six strikeouts. The difference came for the Warriors in the fourth when Carson Kane’s RBI sac fly scored Justin Jackson (1-for-3). Gerard Lopez had a double for the Stingrays, while Manny Ramos was 2-for-3.

Brandon senior Fisher Smith allowed two unearned runs over six innings, while striking out seven while the Eagles held off a comeback attempt in the bottom of the seventh by Chamberlain. Senior Kyler Mele doubled twice, scored twice and drove in two runs, Miles Tavarez also doubled, drove in a run and scored twice, and Carson Junttila was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Josh Blake was also 2-for-4 with an RBI double.

Riverview junior Victory Peinado pitched five, shutout innings, striking out five and allowing four hits as the Sharks piled up runs and ended things early against King. The win marked three-straight for Riverview as Caiden Kamrad started a seven-run second inning with a double, followed by RBI hits from Trey Miranda, Farah Castillo, Nate Hook and Fisher Weeks.

Robert Kocis drew a bases loaded walk to start a three-run frame for Northside Christian on the road at Jefferson, with Elijah Vazquez and Cameron Salter (3-for-4) singled in runs. Kocis pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing one unearned run to earn the win, with Dave Giles striking out two while finishing the game out and earning the save. Jefferson scored one run on an error in the fifth, and sophomore Mikey Marroquin took the loss working six innings.
