Both team’s got impressive pitching performances, as Evan Dempsey (2ip, 4K), Matthew Pitre (W, 2ip, 1K) and Ryan Spitzer (Sv, 3ip, 5K) held Sickles to five hits; while the Gryphons got 5 2/3 innings from Adrian Cartaya, who allowed one run on five hits and struck out three, and hitless relief from Kyle Timko and Vinny Vigil.

Taurean Norman was 2-for-4 for the Indians, with two RBI and a run scored. Gio Mendoza was 3-for-4 for the Patriots and Ian Potts was 1-for-3 with two RBI. Seniors Anthony Williams (2ip, 1K) and Brenden Hone (W, 2ip) pitched shutout innings for East Bay, each allowing just one hit apiece.

Hillsborough took a sixth-inning lead, but Alonso answered with RBI singles by Keenan Rutledge and Angel Camargo (2-for-3, run), and a two run double by Christopher Morgan to take a win at home against the Terriers. Sal Urso, Jr. struck out two, allowing one run in five innings of work for Hillsborough, while Alonso starting pitcher Landon Nunez tossed four innings, allowing one unearned run and striking out one. Sammy Reed finished the final 1 1/3 innings for the Ravens and picked up the win, while not allowing any runs. Urso was 2-for-3 for the Terriers with an RBI, and Cam Mallo had a double.

Rolando Jimenez was 2-for-3 for Tampa Catholic, scoring a run in the sixth and driving in a run in the seventh.

Gaither pitchers Steven Rojas (4ip, 7 K) and Michael Fernandez (2ip, 3 K) combined for 10 strikeouts and issued just two walks.
