The Saladino Baseball tournament has added a six-team Bronze Division tournament to the 2023 slate after Brandon High agreed to return as the host site for the additional Hillsborough County teams. A pair of three-team pools will face off against each team in the opposite pool (Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, March 11, 13-14) and a fourth game will be paired by the tournament after the first three games (top two teams face off based on tiebreakers: wins, runs allowed, and a coin flip).

Brandon, Middleton and Tampa Bay Tech will make up the first pool, while Armwood, Chamberlain and Spoto will fill the second.

The fourth and final games of the Bronze Division will take place on Wednesday, March 15 – all games hosted at Brandon.

Editor’s Note: The Saladino Tournament now enters its 42nd season providing this free tournament to our area baseball players, and I felt this was the PERFECT time to let you know that the main fundraiser for the tournament – the annual Saladino Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, April 23 at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club. We WOULD STRONGLY encourage all teams who have an interest in participating in the Saladino Tournament in the future, reach out to the Tournament staff to ask how you can support their continued efforts. – J.
