Danny Lazaro (7ip, 15 strikeouts) and Roman Corinti (W, 2ip, K) held Northside Christian to a single hit in a nine-inning win. The Crusaders and Mustangs battled it out as Aiden Alvarez dealt 5 2/3 innings with nine K’s for Northside, and Andreas Alvarez struck out five but took the loss, hitting Maddox King with one out in the ninth and seeing the senior score on an error on a Hershey Sanchez single. Wharton’s Caden Long got the offense going with a two-run single in the first inning, and pitched six innings to earn the win in this neighborhood rivalry, Jake Turer (RBI), Justis Meadows (double, two runs), David Ascano (double, RBI), and Jeremiah Brown (run) each had two hits for the Wildcats. Gio Mendoza was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI for the Patriots, and Ryan Accord was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Back-to-back doubles by Victor Peinado and Deven Mena (3-for-4, two RBI) in the top of the eighth pushed Riverview past Spoto on Tuesday. Sharks senior Farah Castillo doubled and scored a run in a three-hit game, and Anthony Jacquez earned the win in relief, after Michael Sims-Gallagher held the Spartans to one unearned run, and struck out seven. Cullen Cairns had a double at the plate for Spoto, and struck out five on the mound.

After Jefferson tied the game in the top of the sixth, Gaither took the lead for good in the home-half when Jackson Mirza singled and moved around to third on an error, scoring on a David Pina single into left. Anthony Linares was the beneficiary on the mound, finishing off the game with four strikeouts, after a dozen K’s from Michael Fernandez in 5 1/3 innings on the mound. Joseph Fritz was 2-for-3 for the Dragons, and John Valle struck out eight in his six innings of work.

Bobby Rossi‘s three-run triple in the first pushed this game out of reach for the Longhorns, as Bloomingdale claimed a district win on the road. Coop Hinson went 4-for-4, scoring twice for the Bulls, supporting starting pitcher Eli Davidson through five innings of work in the winning effort, before two scoreless innings from Andrew Pierce.

The Crusaders finally got the scoring going in the fifth inning and unloaded with 14 runs from there. Ethan Frame went 3-fo-5 with two RBI, Cole Bitman (double) was 2-for-3 with three RBI and scored twice, and Danny Lazaro (run) and Brian Canasi (two runs) each had a pair of hits.
