Roberto Rivera doubled in a pair, and BJ Rivera and Samuel Fernandez each had two hits. CJ Padilla earned the win in relief, and BJ Rivera picked up the save. Colin Pellicer was 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI for Plant City, and Ray Cowen had three hits including a double and triple, a run and an RBI.

Newsome erased an eight-run Armwood lead, walking off a win on an RBI single by Marco Cafaro. Armwood jumped out with a five-run first inning, and the Hawks added four more in the third to stretch out a big lead. But the Wolves chipped away, and hung a seven-spot in the sixth highlighted by a three-run double from Wade Walton and a two-run triple from Evan Dempsey. Chase Conti had two hits and scored a run for Armwood, and KJ Leshko doubled and drove in a run.

Freshman Parker Mitzel pitched five innings of relief, striking out six and allowing two runs on one hit.

IMG’s Jackson LaLima lined a ninth-inning, RBI single into left field to give the Ascenders a walk-off win in a battle of MaxPreps Top 2 teams in the state of Florida. Jesuit opened the game with a run as DJ Pirela singled to lead things off, and would eventually score on a Grant Jordan single. The RBI hit was the first of three hits and three runs driven in by Jordan, who added a two-run single to the Tigers fourth inning. The Tigers would take a brief lead in the seventh, with RBI hits from Vince DeCarlo (2-for-4) and Jake Kulikowski (2-for-6, double, run, RBI), but IMG answered with three runs in the home-half to force extra innings.

Land O’Lakes jumped out to an early three-run lead, but Steinbrenner battled back with a pair of crooked-number innings to earn the Warriors a 10th win on the season and mark the 800th win in the career of head coach John Crumbley (more about that here)Cayden Hessemyer hit a solo home run in the second, but it was an eight-run fifth that put the Warriors ahead for good. Kelton Meares (who scored the games first run on a wild pitch) singled to start the inning, and scored on a double from JW StephensAidan Forde would single in another before four-straight bases-loaded walks built on Steinbrenner’s lead. Jorge Romero entered after one out in the first inning, and pitched 5 2/3 innings of relief to earn his second win of the year, he struck out four and allowed one earned run.

But the Longhorns pulled out the win on the road when Jose Rivera singled through the left side to drive in two runs, and Jack Mueller closed out the game and earned himself a win with two scoreless innings of relief with five punchouts. Logan Covey and Alex Brazer (two RBI) hit back-to-back doubles to get night started for Lennard, and Zack Bird pitched four steadying innings of scoreless relief, allowing a hit and a walk, and striking out four.

Tampa Prep put up eight runs on 12 hits and defeated SPC at home on Wednesday as senior Xavier Brown struck out five across five innings to earn the win and hit a solo home run to support his cause. Nick Batoff‘s RBI single got things going for the Terrapins, while Christian Sheffield (two runs) and LaPlace Sallis (double, run, RBI) each had two hits in the win. Jaden Holder drove in two runs, and Batoff worked two clean innings of relief for Tampa Prep. Kyle Brown hit a solo home run for the Barons in the fourth inning.
