Durant’s Gavin Florio pitched a complete game, striking out five and allowing two runs as the Cougars won for the fifth-straight game. Noah Morales homered to left to put the Cougars up a pair in the first, and Nick April-Gath singled in a run in the third. Wharton strung together three, seventh-inning hits with Drew Cobb doubling in two runs, but could not bring in the tying run.

Robinson senior Russell Sandefer hit a one-out double in the first and scored on a groundball from Tucker Wehrman to support his cause on the mound, where he finished with 10 strikeouts in six innings, and worked around four hits. Fellow senior Ian Ayres doubled twice and scored in the fourth inning on a Alex DeLise single. Chamberlain’ Yadiel Garcia struck out five on the mound for the Storm and had two hits, including a double.

The Chargers scored in the first five innings to put away visiting Alonso on Saturday. Luke Richardson struck out four to earn his fourth win of the year, striking out four in four scoreless innings. Akhil Nimmala had two hits including a double, Dillon Knight was 2-for-3 with a run and RBI for Crest. Samuel Fernandez drove in the lone Ravens run in the sixth inning. The win marked No. 200 for the Strawberry Crest program and head coach Eric Beattie.

Justin Allen homered and singled, and Thomas Bly drove in a pair in support of starting pitcher Caden McDonald (W, 5ip, two hits, five K’s) and reliever Cameron Guise (2ip, one hit, three K’s) as Sickles shutout Plant City on Saturday. Jordan Yost was 2-for-3 with a runs scored and Connor Vance scored twice in the win.

Jefferson’s Mikey Marroquin tossed a complete game, allowing just two, seventh-inning runs, and struck out a pair. Jayden Vazquez got the Dragons offense going with the first of his two doubles to lead off the second inning, and he scored on the first of two RBI hits from Joseph FritzCameron Copple was 2-for-3 with a run and RBI, and Hayden Sekanick doubled in a run and scored twice. KJ Leshko and Rhys Brush singled in the home-seventh and both scored on a Matthew Hall sac fly and and a wild pitch.

Tampa Catholic came to life in the second half of Saturday’s midday game at Cardinal Mooney as Brian Canasi‘s RBI double gave the Crusaders the lead for good in the sixth inning. Canasi would add an RBI single to drive in the final run for TC in the seventh. Cole Bitman was 2-for-2 in the win with three RBI, and Rolando Jimenez (double, two runs) and Maddox King each had two hits. Senior Bransen Angel pitched six innings to earn the win, allowing two runs (one earned) on just three hits, while striking out a pair.

Noah Berning hit a two-run homer, and cleared the bases with a double to lead the Bell Creek offense in a win against SLAM. Jacob Ananias went 2-for-3 with two runs scored for the Panthers, and Xavier Talbot pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win, behind a seven-K start from Tyler Fritsch. Andrew Bunner went 3-for-4 with a run scored for SLAM, and Isaiah Morales pitched six innings in a no-decision, allowing two runs and striking out four.

Runs in the early innings put Seffner Christian ahead, but the Crusaders had to stop a five-run rally in the final inning to take a win against IRC on Friday. Seffner Christian built up its lead in the sixth adding four runs on five hits, including a two-run double from Addy Scott. Senior CJ Koenck continued to smash the ball, homering for the second-straight game, as well as doubling in his 3-for-4 game with three runs scored and two stolen bases. Ethan Duncan pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out 10 to earn the win, and Garrett Morgan was 4-for-4, with three RBI for the Crusaders. IRC battled back in its final at-bats with RBI hits by Lane Beale (3-for-3, two runs), Gabriel Currier (2-for-4, run), and Bricen Columbia, but couldn’t push across the tying run.

Bloomingdale broke a scoreless game in the fourth on a Vinny Dinzeo RBI single, but Plant responded swiftly with a three-run home half with Tanner Swank‘s RBI sac bunt giving the Panthers the edge for good. Swank would add a two-run single in the fifth to push the game out of reach. Cash Strayer collected four hits in the win, Jack Meade had an RBI double, and Bryce Pelleriti (run) & Rocco DeMarinis (two runs) each had two hits. Garrett Hill held the Bulls to just one earned run, striking out four in his six innings on the mound for Plant. Dawson Rankin singled in Bloomingdale’s second run, and Coop Hinson (run) and Tyler Clinton each had two singles.
