The top three of the Leto offense combined to go 10-for-14 with eight runs and eight RBI, as the Falcons advanced to Wednesday’s semifinal at Gaither. Denzel Martinez was 3-for-5 with a triple, four runs and two RBI, Isaiah Quinonez drove in three on three hits, and Gerard Ortega went 4-for-5, with two doubles, four runs and scored three. While Emilio Monje was 4-for-4 from the nine-hole, scoring four times, and Caleb Rodriguez Molina pitched 3 2/3 innings of no-hit relief to earn the win, striking out five. Antonio Davis (two doubles, three runs, RBI), Curtis Roberts (double, RBI), and Kyler Martin (run) each had two hits in the game for the Terriers.

Junior Tyler Corns pitched a complete-game shutout for Armwood, as the Hawks came to life with runs in the fifth and sixth inning to defeat TBT. Michael Hull doubled in a pair to give his team the lead in the  fifth, and added an RBI single an inning later, and Chase Conti had two RBI hits for the Hawks. Armwood will travel to face Wharton in Wednesday’s district semifinal.

Crusaders pitcher Ian Bast pitched a five-inning no-hitter as Seffner Christian advanced to Thursday’s Class 2A-10 district final. CJ Koenck was 3-for-3, with a double and two triples, scored twice and drove in three in the win. Top-seeded Seffner Christian will return to Carrollwood Day for Thursday’s district final against the Patriots.

#4 Tampa Catholic 6, Tampa Prep 3

Tampa Catholic’s Cole Bitman sent an RBI ground ball single up the middle to give the Crusaders the lead for good in the third inning, and Alex Sotiropoulos (4ip, four K’s, three unearned runs) and Bransen Angel (3ip, no hits, three K’s) held Tampa Prep to just three runs in the first three innings. Rolando Jimenez was 2-for-4, with a run and RBI, and Brian Canasi (double, two runs), Maddox King and Jorge Carrero both had two hits in the win. Jaden Holder was 2-for-3 with a run and RBI for Tampa Prep. Top-seeded Tampa Catholic will face Berkeley Prep in Thursday’s district final.

#6 Berkeley Prep 8, Bell Creek 4

Bell Creek jumped out to a four-run lead in the first, as Jacob Ananais doubled in two runs, and Caden Welton singled in a pair, but the Buccaneers battled back to take the win in the district semifinal. Troy Reader tied the game with a RBI double in the third, and Jojo Troupe‘s second home run of the game plated three and gave Berkeley Prep the lead for good in the fifth. Freshman George Cook pitched 1 1/3 innings, with three strikeouts to earn the win, The Bucs will face Tampa Catholic in Thursday’s 3A-5 district final.

Brandon Gonzales allowed just three hits, and struck out six to earn his seventh win, as the Gryphons got home runs from Justin Allen, Hayden Yost, and Cameron Guise. Caden McDonald tripled and drove in three in the win.

Lennard got its offense going with five hits in the fifth, including an RBI triple by Joseph Rivera to give the Longhorns the lead. Logan Covey had a double and triple and drove in three runs. Senior Carter Payne allowed two runs (one earned) and struck out seven to earn thew win with six innings on the mound, and Zack Bird pitched a scoreless seventh. The No. 1-seeded Longhorns will host Bloomingdale in the district final on Thursday.

Plant 6, Steinbrenner 1

Panthers ace Robert Satin struck out 11, allowing one unearned run on two hits in a complete-game effort as Plant defeated Steinbrenner. After the Warriors scored a first-inning run, the Panthers answered with a decisive home-half as Jack Meade hit a grand slam to put Plant out ahead. Trey Freeman went 3-for-3 with a run scored, and Cash Strayer scored twice.
