Robinson 2, #5 Newsome 1

Robinson ended the season with a road win over Newsome as the Knights defense and solid pitching was rewarded by Cason Cooper‘s RBI single to left in the sixth inning. Samuel Hyman pitched three scoreless innings to start for the Knights, and Santiago Rojas worked two innings, allowing one run. Collin Rosenberg singled in the first run of the game in the fifth, giving Robinson the lead, but Newsome answered in the home-half when Drew Mega doubled and scored on an RBI sac fly by Joseph DiPietroNathan Porath closed out the game for the Knights with two scoreless innings to earn the save. Newsome’s JP Glassford worked 4 2/3 innings at the start with one run allowed on three hits and had three strikeouts.

Armwood 3, #10 Lennard 2

Armwood’s Christian Villanueva lined a seventh-inning two-out single into left field driving in a pair for a walk-off win to close out a 15-win regular season. Mattie Counts doubled in a run for the Longhorns in the fourth, and Armwood tied the game in the sixth on an RBI double by Owen Leever. Christian Lallave-Segui was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Matthew Hall was 1-for-3 with a run.
