Dragons senior Mikey Marroquin picked up his ninth win of the year, delivering four shutout innings as Jefferson won its second-straight district title. Cameron Copple hit a two-run home run in the first to get Jefferson on the board, he also walked twice, scored three runs and pitched a 1-2-3 fifth inning to end the game. Moises Gudino was 2-for-3 with a run, Alliuq Troupe doubled and scored a run, and Cameron Mallo was 1-for-2, with two runs scored in the win.

Class 5A-9 Championship

#2 Jesuit 5, Parrish Community 4

Jesuit’s DJ Pirela collected three hits, including a triple and an RBI double in the sixth inning that sealed the comeback win for the 5A-9 district championship – the 12-straight district title for the Tigers. After the Bulls scored a pair of runs in each of the first two innings, Jesuit turned to Wilson Andersen in relief, and the sophomore held Parrish to one hit and one walk, finishing the final five, shutout innings with nine strikeouts. Noah Sheffield was 3-for-3 for the Tigers, including a fourth inning RBI single; Jack Clark and Jacob Lozano (RBI) hit back-to-back doubles in the second; and Cannon Murtagh (single) and Clark drove in runs in the third.
