Crusaders starting pitcher Lucas Cinnante held the Patriots to just one run through his 4 2/3 innings with six K’s, before Talan Miranda finished things out and got the win, allowing one unearned, on no hits and striking out a pair. CDS senior starting pitcher Nick Riedel struck out 10, but was unable to finish out the win.

Jefferson’s Ethan Savinon‘s RBI single in the first was all that pitcher Jamarques Benton needed, as the senior held Bloomingdale to just two hits over five innings and struck out four. Savinon took to the mound for the final no-hit innings, also recording four strikeouts. Benton (2-for-4, two runs) followed an Isiah Fernandez RBI single in the second with a two-run homer to left. Nate Brewer was 2-for-4 with a run scored in the win.

In a battle of perennial state powers, Brody Smith (2-for-2) doubled to lead off the Jesuit fourth and scored the deciding run on a wild pitch, before Samir Mohammed added an insurance run with a single. Ryan Thompson collected six strikeouts on the hill for the Tigers, allowing one run over his 2 2/3 innings start; Brady Hoar scattered four Vikings hits over three scoreless to pick up the win, and Ben Burke closed out the save with 1 1/3 scoreless – both Hoar and Burke had four K’s.

Plant City’s Jake Carbaugh struck out 12 and allowed just one hit in 6 1/3 innings at Freedom on Tuesday, before his brother Hunter Carbaugh picked up the save and the final two outs. Alex Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with a run scored, and got the Raiders all the runs needed with an RBI single in the third. Hagan Smith (2-for-4) and Lane Baxter each drove in runs, while Parker Scott doubled and scored a run, while going 2-for-3. Freedom’s Jacob Antle worked four innings, allowing just one run on six hits, while striking out six.

Hits were at a premium as Robinson rallied late behind pitcher Samuel Hyman‘s strong night on the mound, delivering five innings and striking out nine as he allowed two hits and one unearned run. Hyman also walked and tied the game scoring on a double-steal. Jack Perkins struck out four in his two hitless innings to earn the save for the Knights, and CJ Maglalang singled in the deciding run. Adriano Parral struck out eight for the Terriers, allowing one unearned on two hits in a five-inning no-decision.

Foundation Christian took an early lead in the second as Sebastian Garcia plated a run with an RBI groundout, then the Panthers took advantage of a pair of bases-loaded hit batters, and two more on a Caleb Hom single. FCA’s five-run lead held strong as the Panthers fended off a three-run Lakeside Christian third to win its first game of the season. Henry Salter struck out eight in four innings to earn the win, and Hom worked two hitless, shutout innings to earn a save.

Alonso rallied with a seven-run sixth to win on the road at Armwood, behind a five inning start from Julian Batista (one run, two hits, 4 K’s) and solid relief innings from Andy Aduriz (2 K’s) and Marcelo Diaz Villalon. Aidan Sansing‘s RBI sac fly gave the Ravens the winning run, and Joshua Abrahante was 3-for-4 with a run for the Ravens. Theodric Hicks singled in the first for Armwood and scored the Hawks lone run on a groundball single by Christian Villanueva.
