Gaither’s Adam Smolka struck out five in two scoreless innings of relief.

The Patriots finally broke a scoreless game in the sixth, loading the bases on singles by Steven VargoChristian Clarke, and Evan Mazur before Allen Soriano sent an RBI sac fly to left field. CDS picked up another run in the seventh on a wild pitch. For the Hurricanes, Steele Thalleen struck out six across five shutout innings.

Strawberry Crest fell behind early, but put up five runs in the sixth and got a strong relief outing from Chase Conti (Win; 4.1ip, 0 ER, 2 H, 3 BB, 7 Ks) to win at home on Tuesday. Nico Cappucci had four RBI on the night including an RBI groundout, a solo homer and a two-run single; Brisen Tweedy was 2-for-3 with a homer, Reuben Vasquez went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and an RBI, and Yusvanny Parra went 3-for-3, scoring twice in the win. Theodoric Hicks tripled, scored twice and drove in two runs for the Hawks.

Lennard stretched out a three-run lead to start the game and held off East Bay, as JV Brennick struck out seven across 6 2/3 innings to earn the win. Mikie Lock singled to start the game, and scored the first run on a passed ball, before Yovani DePablos singled in a run and a bases loaded walk put the game out of reach. East Bay strung together five, two-out hits in the third scoring on singles from Connor Gavigan and Eddie Smith. Brennick struck out two in the seventh before turning the ball over to Pablo Garcia, who got a fly out to end the game.

Steinbrenner cut into the lead with an RBI ground ball by Kelton Meares in the fifth, but could bring the game any closer.
