Plant City 3
#3 Bloomingdale 1
A two-run homer to right from freshman Alex Rodriguez gave Plant City all it needed to send Bloomingdale on its way with its first loss in eight nine games. With the lead in hand, Jake Carbaugh held Bloomingdale scoreless through five-plus innings before a Vinny Dinzeo Jr. solo home run led off the sixth for the Bulls only run. Carbaugh struck out five before turning the ball over to Rodriguez, who struck out one and walked one while earning his third save of the year. Hayden Porter pitched five innings for Bloomingdale and had 10 strikeouts in the loss.
