#14 Gaither 6
#1 Jesuit 0
Gaither jumped out early against top-ranked Jesuit, Jackson Mirza led off the game with a double, took third on a wild pitch and scored the eventual game winner on a David Pina sac fly. Ryder Warriner made a Jesuit error hurt driving in a pair with a single to left. From there Cowboys senior Anthony Linares went to work, pitching into the sixth inning before a one-out hit batter and a hit from Vincent DeCarlo put two runners in scoring position. Linares left with eight strikeouts, allowed two singles (both from DeCarlo) and walked no one. And Mirza rewarded that effort shutout down the Tigers the rest of the way, issuing one walk while recording five outs – all by strikeout. Albert Antinori went 2-for-3 in the win, with a double, two RBI and a run scored; Pina was 2-for-2 with a double, walk and scored twice; Angel Hernandez was 2-for-4, with an RBI; and Ryan Deak had an RBI sac fly.
