The Panther salted away the win with an RBI hit by Truman Mayer, and a two-run single by Danny Cerelli (2-for-4, R)

Patriots senior Nick Riedel pitched five scoreless, allowing one hit and striking out 11, and his two-run homer to left pushed the game out of reach. Allen Soriano added a three-run homer in the seventh, and also had a single for CDS, Christian Clarke was 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the third, and Luke Anderson went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Armwood put up two runs in sixth inning on a walk, a Rhys Brush double, and an RBI single by Christian Villanueva and a Princeton Clark sac fly.

Sickles junior Zach Dial‘s walk-off bunt single scored Braden Ross, who had doubled to complete a 5-for-5 game, as the Gryphons won a wild slugfest against host Tampa Catholic. The game which featured SEVEN home runs, saw the two teams trade the lead four different times stretching into the eighth inning. JJ Nazar (2-for-5, 4 RBI) hit a two-run homer for Sickles; Jordan Yost (2-for-2, 3 R, 2 BB) blasted a grand slam; Brandon Gonzales homered; and Jake Taylor homered in the seventh to push the game to extras. Cole Bitman homered; Jack Smythe and Jose Carrero (2-for-2, 3 RBI, 2 R) each doubled in runs; Dominic Woodward hit two home runs and drove in five in the tough loss.

Bryan Alonso‘s RBI bunt and a subsequent Lennard error gave the Ravens the lead for good in the fifth inning. Jordan Brautigam singled in a pair of runs in the fourth for Alonso; Aidan Sansing had two hits and scored a pair and Johnny Rodriguez singled in the Ravens final run. All three Longhorns runs were unearned, as the Ravens got a quality start from Elier Velazquez (5ip, 2 unearned, 2 K) and Marcelo Diaz Villalon picked up the win, recording the final five outs and allowing one unearned. Mickie Locke was 2-for-4 for the Longhorns, with double and runs scored, while RJ Torres and Yovani DePablos each had a hit and RBI.

Winston Pennant homered and doubled, driving in three for the Stingrays, Sebastian Peralta hit a solo homer, and Eric Farmer walked twice and scored three runs.

That was all Meares would need in support, as he pitched a two-hit gem, with one walk and five strikeouts in the shortened, six-inning breakfast game at Lennard. Will Hoblitzell also had three hits for the Warriors, including a triple, three RBI and scored one; and Austin Liss was 2-for-4 and scored three times.

Eli Thomas went 3-for-3 with a double and scored twice, Alex Rodriguez was 2-for-4 and Drew Cothren hit an RBI sac fly in the first. Leto loaded the bases in the seventh with singles before a Caleb Rodriguez RBI sac fly, but couldn’t cut the deficit any more; and Chris Ortiz was 2-for-4 with an RBI double in the fifth.

Cambridge Christian freshman Gavin Lopez doubled in a pair in the first inning, supporting Lancers junior Will Snider on the mound as he pitched 4 2/3 innings, holding Hillsborough to one run on just three hits while striking out a pair in a mercy-shortened game. Ian Jansen had and RBI single in the second, and added a two run double in the fifth, and Robert Moore went 2-for-2 and scored twice. For the Terriers, Oswald Font singled to right in the fourth and was driven home by Daniel Pena‘s line drive single to center.

Francis Ovalles gave the Eagles four, shutout innings, with four hits and four strikeouts, and Robert Elder worked 5 2/3 scoreless with five Ks to earn the win. Joemiis Stroman was 3-for-6 with an RBI. Joe DiCecco was 3-for-4 for the Phoenix; Messiah Williams was 2-for-6 with a double, run and RBI; and Brooks DeBartolo also got some tremendous pitching from Jose Gutierrez (5.2ip, 1 R, 4 H, 7 Ks), Leighton Blaylock (6.1ip, 1 unearned, 5 H, 5 Ks), and Gabriel Machado (1ip, 1 unearned, 0 H).

Licoln Bailey (2-for-3, RBI) held the Panthers to two runs in five innings, while striking out six to earn the win, Nick Angelone pitched two no-hit innings with four strikeouts. Langston Sallis was 2-for-2 with a triple, walk, two runs and an RBI. For the Panthers Tate Anich scored one and drove in a run, and Andrew Golden doubled and scored a run.
