Sickles got a walk-off win courtesy of Emilio Salgado‘s RBI single as the Gryphons and Alonso battled into extra innings on Tuesday. The Ravens opened with a five-run inning keyed by a bases-clearing triple by Jordan Campos and an RBI single by Ihonathan Perez (2-for-4, run). But Sickles answered back with second inning run (Brandon Gonzales RBI double) and a five-run third as a couple of errors and a JJ Nazar RBI single gave the Gryphons a temporary lead. Jordan Yost homered to stretch out the at lead, then Alonso clawed back in with a Raymond Llanes RBI double in the fifth, and a Maikol Madueno RBI hit in the seventh to force extras.

Tampa Prep 1 – 11 innings

Chase Brady‘s RBI double finally settled a thrilling competition between Tampa Prep and Calvary Christian as the Warriors squeaked out a win. Tampa Prep took the lead in the third when Liam Akins homered to right to lead off the inning, and Erik Skiendziel held Calvary scoreless for five innings. In the sixth however, Calvary strung together two hits and tied the game on a Maddox Bozeman groundout. Jacob Henderson struck out seven in 3 2/3 innings for the Warriors, but it was Grayson Gibson who would carry the load on the mound pitching 7 1/3, striking out 12 and allowing just one hit to earn the win.

Berkeley Prep’s Parker Mitzel singled in a run in the seventh to force extra innings at Northside Christian, and the Buccaneers put up three in the eighth to win in extra innings. Mitzel hit a two-run homer in the first, and added an RBI sac fly in the third, Josh Herrmann was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, and Jett Walters pitched five innings of relief allowing one unearned on two hits with eight strikeouts; Walters also had a double to lead off the eighth and scored the deciding run on a Mason Warren ground ball.

But the run was too little, too late as Troya earned the win behind a 10-hit offensive performance from the Patriots. Allen Soriano (2-for-3, two runs) singled and scored in the second run, and Julian Earle (2-for-4, 2 RBI) singled and scored the eventual deciding run in the fourth.

The Wolves took control in the second when Anthony DeVito‘s RBI double tied the game, and Ocean Cozart‘s single to left put two on the board. The Wolves would add four in the sixth, highlighted by an RBI single from Evan Plusquellic.

Lennard jumped out to an early lead and held off a late rally from Plant City. AJ Aikens’ two-run double in the first and run scored on an error put the Longhorns on the path, and RJ Torres gave his team the run it would need with an RBI sac fly in the second. The Raiders scored two in the fifth on RBI single from Paul Overstreet and Salvadore Jaramillo; Brenham Hay tripled and scored on a wild pitch, but despite getting a runner to third Pablo Garcia closed the door with two fly ball outs. Hunter Carbaugh pitched three scoreless innings for the Raiders, striking out five.

Caleb Rodriguez held Robinson to two runs across six innings, then helped his own cause with a two-run home run in the seventh as Leto won on the road. Lucas Vitale led off the seventh with a single and Julian Najero‘s double gave Leto the lead for good two batters later. Brady Capps led off the second with a solo homer to left. Rodriguez picked up the first of his four hits in the win in the fourth and scored the first of his two runs on an error; he also singled in a run in the fifth inning.

King smacked out 10 hits and took control with a three-run second inning to defeat visiting Armwood. Senior Jonthan Williams helped out his cause on the mound (W; 3.2ip, 2 H, 2 ER, 6 BB, 5 K) with an RBI single, then Nicholas Brown gave the Lions the lead for good with a two-run double. Chase Hall (2-for-2, run) extended the King lead in the third with an RBI hit; Cooper Messenger was 2-for-2 with a run scored; and Xavier Gori earned the save with two innings of relief. Princeton Clark was 2-for-3 for the Hawks; Rhys Brush was 1-for-2 with three runs scored and Christian Villanueva drove in three.

Wharton took the first lead when Justis Meadows homered to center; Freedom answered in the fourth with an RBI single by Jacob Antle; Morris gave the Wildcats back the lead with a double in the fifth; and Logan Handville‘s RBI sac fly in the sixth tied the game to set up the game-ending seventh inning. Daniel Duno earned the win in relief allowing one unearned run in four innings on three hits with three strikeouts, and Dylan Hand took a no-decision for the Patriots pitching 5 1/3, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out four.

But the Terriers answered right back with two in the home-first with Daniel Pena walking and scoring on a wild pitch, and Font driving in a run on a single.
