#2 Jesuit 1

Tampa Catholic junior Talan Miranda held Jesuit to a single hit deep into the sixth inning as the Crusaders jumped out to a commanding early lead and stopped a 13-game skid against the Tigers. After the game’s first run scored on an error, TC piled on in a five-run second inning, with two, two-run singles from Cole Bitman and Lucas Cinnante. Bitman added an RBI single in the third, and Carson Arnold was 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Kaden Waecther drove in the Tigers only run on a groundball to second base in the seventh inning, and Ben Burke had five strikeouts in two scoreless innings of relief.

#5 Berkeley Prep 2
#14 Carrollwood Day 1

Berkeley Prep’s two first inning runs on a Parker Mitzel double were just enough for ace Rivers Kurland to out-duel fellow 2024 All-813 First Team pitcher Nick Riedel (6ip, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K) for CDS, as both pitchers held their opponents to two hits. The Patriots scratched back a run in the fifth on an RBI single by Logan Mazur and got the tying run aboard on a walk in the seventh, but Kurland (7ip, 2 H, 0 ER, 1BB) slammed the door shut with his ninth and 10th strikeouts of the game.
