Lennard 2
Sumner 1

Lennard stayed in the fight the whole way and finally got to Sumner starter Ethan DeJesus in the seventh inning, Samuel Norbrega drawing a leadoff walk and AJ Aikens singling to center, and Luis Valentin-Ramos dropped down a sac bunt to move the runners, forcing a tough play and DeJesus’ throw went wide allowing the tying run. After two outs, Peyton Newman sent a groundball hit to left field to walk-off the win for the Longhorns, earning Christian Skaggs (1.2ip, 2 K) a win. DeJesus pitched 6 2/3, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and struck out six; Winston Pennant singled in the fourth and scored on a fielders choice. JV Brennick tossed 5 1/3 in a no-decision for the Longhorns, allowing one run on two hits with four strikeouts.
