The Warriors took advantage of a pair of wild pitches, an error and a Gavin Mix RBI single to plate four runs in the third inning and never looked back. Reliever Jordan Anstett allowed two runs (one earned) over four innings of work, struck out three and picked up the win; while Coby Moesching earned the save with a 1-2-3 seventh with one strikeout. SJ Branham got Gaither on the board in the first with an RBI sac fly; Ryan Deak was 2-for-2 for the Cowboys with an RBI double and a run scored; and Will Wade singled in a run.

A bases-loaded walk drawn by Austin Snider proved the decider as Clearwater Central Catholic walked off a 1-0 win against Tampa Prep in a pitching duel. CCC starting pitcher Zach Wheeler held the Terrapins to just two hits and two walks over his five scoreless innings, before Sam Heintz finished things out and earned the win with two hitless innings, one walk and four strikeouts. For Tampa Prep, senior Liam Akins went six completer, allowed two hits, three walks and struck out 10.

Newsome answered Robinson taking the lead twice and got a shutdown relief appearance by Joe Calabria (W; 4ip, 1 H, 2 BB, 6 K) to take a one-run win on the road in South Tampa. Ben Bryan and Tommy Fitzgerald (two RBI) spotted the Knights a three-run lead in the first with singles. Newsome answered with a three-spot in the third on an Ocean Cozart RBI single, a Trey Bosso RBI sac fly and an error to tie the game. The Knights answered right back retaking the lead on a Tyler Shoemaker two-run double. But the Wolves took the lasting advantage in the fifth when Bosso (3-for-3) closed the gap with an RBI single, Jaxon Murphy tied it with a liner to left, and Nick Bradner (1-for-4, double) gave the Wolves the lead with a productive ground ball to the right side.

Raymond Llanes gave the Ravens the lead with an RBI single and was 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored. Noah Renew held Crest to one run over 3 1/3 innings, and Julian Batista finished off the game and earned the win with one hit and a walk over 3 2/3 innings and struck out three. Joshua Abrahante singled in the first run of the game for Alonso, and Strawberry Crest answered in the third with three-straight singles by Jaxon BeattieReuben Vasquez and Toby Highsmith, before Beattie scored on a Josh Cespedes RBI sac fly.

A productive out from Jaylin Chambers (two runs) gave the Stingrays the lead in a four-run fourth inning, which also included a two-run single by Braylon DislaEthan Christian worked a scoreless inning of relief, struck out a pair and was awarded the win, as four Sumner arms combined for 10 strikeouts. Evan Aronson and Inri Beltre had RBI doubles in the second for the Hawks.

Freedom pounded out 18 hits to put away Hillsborough early on Thursday. Luke Ledford was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a triple; Gavin Tarr was 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, two runs and two RBI; Sebastian Price was 4-for-3, with two runs and an RBI; and Parker Crafton was 3-for-5, with a double and two runs. Gaige Spano picked up his third win of the year, allowing four runs (three earned) over four innings and striking out six; and J Corvin worked a scoreless fifth inning with a pair of strikeouts. Angel Smith was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Terriers; and Magglio Rojas had a double, a run and RBI.

Senior Jeremiah Brown paced the Wildcats offense with a 3-for-4, two run, one RBI game; Chase Andress drove in a pair; and Daniel Duno worked five innings, allowed three runs on four hits and one walk, and finished with nine strikeouts in a winning effort. Brett Valerio started off Leto’s night with a double in the first and scored on an error, before Daniel Gonzalez hit a two-run home run to left field later in the inning.

CDs stretched out a lead in the fourth with a pair of triples as Tommy Porta (2-for-3, two RBI, three Runs) went to left and Luke Anderson drove him in with the first of his two RBI three-baggers. Beck Meier doubled in a pair to end the game early via the mercy-rule; and Angel Luna earned the win, allowing one run over his 2 1/3 inning on one hit, while striking out two. For Grace Christian, Kyler Rickenbach opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first; Alex Perez doubled and scored on a Cash Newton single; Benjamin Fanelli singled in a run; before Perez rounded out the scoring, driving in Bryce Purkey, who had singled and scored twice in the game.

Sickles junior Nick Grannis helped the Gryphons to a 24-14 win Tuesday with a four-RBI game, and added to an already impressive week with a 3-for-5, seven-RBI night on Thursday at Riverview. Lee Melamut went 3-for-4, with two RBI and scored four times; Zach Dial was 2-for-3 with four runs scored; Micah Flores earned his first win with three shutout innings, while he allowed two hits and struck out five; and freshman Chase Twiss struck out four in two scoreless relief innings. Bryan Barrios doubled and drove in two for the Sharks; and Alex Patneaude went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI.
