Dragons junior Ethan Savinon went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and four RBI; Sam Hyman was 2-for-4 with two RBI; and Kaleb Cherry went 2-for-5 with a doubled, run and RBI, and picked up the win on the mound allowing one earned run over 3 2/3 innings and struck out four. Plant’s Gio Benitez had two doubles and drove in four runs; Urban Ellis went 2-for-2 with two doubles, two walks, two runs and an RBI; and Jordan Olivia was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored.

Sumner rallied on the road with six runs in the final three innings to defeat East Bay, as senior Ethan DeJesus (four earned on five hits) struck out 10 in a complete-game effort. Diankel Berrios had a sacrifice fly and a two run double for the Stingrays; and Jaylin Chambers scored twice. East Bay’s Rowland Ruiz Jr. was 1-for-2 with two RBI and a double; and Connor Gavigan struck out eight in a losing decision, allowing six runs (three earned) on four hits, six walks.

Keegan Wilkerson struck out seven, while allowing one unearned run on two hits and two walks to pick up the win; and Merrick Smith struck out one and allowed one hit in his save chance. Lennard’s Julian Ware led off the second with a single and scored the Longhorns lone run on an error; and Mason Menotti pitched three scoreless innings, allowed three hits and struck out one in a no-decision.

Spoto made a Durant error hurt in the second as Levert Sims Jr. singled in a run after a three-base error started the frame. However, the Cougars seniors came through again with Purcell doubling in a run and McClellan adding a final run with another sac fly.
