Senior Wilson Andersen (3-for-3) had two, RBI singles and pitched six innings (2 ER, 5 H, 3 BB, 6 K) to lead Jesuit to a win against California’s Aquinas from the USA Baseball Invitational from Cary, NC. Andersen drove in the first run of the game with an infield single, Jay Kirchner doubled in a run in the second, then Andersen and Hector Rivera drove in a run each in the third as the Tigers held off the Falcons late rally. Ben Burke pitched the seventh inning allowing one run on two hits and had one strikeout to earn the save.

Bloomingdale rallied for a win as Isaiah Perez homered in the fifth, then singled in the tying run in the sixth, before JJ Santiago crossed the plate on a double steal for the deciding run. Mason Johnson singled and scored in the first inning, before Plant City took the lead with a three-run fourth inning – highlighted by RBI singles by Max Cieslo and Devin Dukes. Keegan Wilkerson was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI for the Raiders, Drew Cothren was 2-for-4 with a run scored; and Jake Carbaugh pitched six innings, allowed four earned and struck out seven. Evan Plusquellic struck out three in his 1 2/3 innings of relief, allowed one hit and earned the win for the Bulls.

Joel Salinas pitched a scoreless first inning for the Panthers, striking out a pair before Nick Townley worked the next six, scoreless innings while allowing two hits and walk, and striking out one. Noah Renew took the loss for the Ravens, allowing two runs on four hits with three strikeouts in six innings of work. Gio Benitez was 2-for-3 for the Panthers, and Kolt Patterson singled and scored on Ellis’ homer.

Sumner rallied for a win on the road as Cameron Pacquette (2-for-4, run) singled in a run in the fifth to give the Stingrays the lead; Winston Pennant was 2-for-4 with a double; Kaleb Williams was 1-for-3 with two RBI; Jaylin Chambers pitched five innings, allowed two unearned runs on six hits with six strikeouts in a win; and Matthew Rangel earned the save, working around two hits while also striking out six. Nick Bradner was 2-for-4 for the Wolves with a two run single in the third.

Hyman struck out three in six innings on the mound to earn the win, and Kaleb Cherry worked around one hit batter for a save. Lee Melamut singled in the fourth for the Gryphons and scored on a Charlie Grannis ground ball; and Nick Grannis was 2-for-3 with a double in the loss.

Josh Cespedes was 2-for-3 with a double, homer and four RBI; Nico Cappucci went 2-for-3 with a hoer and two RBI and Reuben Vasquez was 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Marco Octavo pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowing one run and struck out win to earn the win. Dairon Benitez went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI; and Justin Estevez drove in a pair. Ivan Sada allowed two unearned runs, but finished off the game’s final 3 2/3 innings for the Chargers with five strikeouts.

Luke Anderson went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI; Charlie Cooperman was 2-for-4 with a walk and two RBI, and struck out nine in a six-inning no-decision; and Cooper Williams allowed one run and struck out two in two innings of relief to earn the win. Noah Mortellite went 2-for-4 with a double and home run for the Eagles with four RBI and two runs; and Quinn Taylor was 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Tampa Prep senior lefty Tyler Kin made a first-inning Terrapins run hold up, scattering seven Barons’ hits and two walks across seven innings for a complete-game shutout win. Luc Thornton singled to center in the first, stole second and moved up to third on a groundout, before scoring the lone run on a balk by SPC’s Luke Elliot. Elliot also delivered a gem, pitching six innings, allowing just three hits and struck out three. The Terrapins defense was stout all game, and ended things throwing behind a runner at third base as the Barons threatened in the seventh inning.

Trinity’s Grayson Willoughby held the Tigers to just two singles (Wilson Andersen and Hector Rivera), walked two and struck out seven.
