Altman went 4 innings, allowed one unearned run, on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Carter Kindberg pitched two scoreless innings, and Adam Smolka earned his fourth save, allowing one run on one hit and two walks, with two strikeouts. Cole Walton singled in the game’s first run for the Wolves in the third, and Newsome drew the game within a run with an Ocean Cozart RBI fielder’s choice in the seventh, but couldn’t scratch across the tying run with two in scoring position to end the game.

Jardine was 2-for-4 with an RBI at the plate; and  Blake Hafter went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBI for the Lancers. Jadin Soto was 2-for-4 with a double and a run for the Hurricanes.

The Indians jumped out to an early lead as two wild pitches plated a pair of runs; the Knights cut the lead in the second as Tyler Shoemaker walked and stole home, and tied the game in the fourth on a Rhyder Robinson RBI line out. Trenden Norman was 2-for-2 with a double and run scored for East Bay; Jeffrey Diab was 1-for-3 with a double and a run; Cameron Cook allowed one earned run over 4 2/3 innings of a no-decision; before JJ Groover pitched two no-hit innings to earn the win and Brady Robello struck out the last batter of the game to earn a save. Ben Bryan was 2-for-3 for the Knights; and Santiago Rojas had five strikeouts in a losing effort.

Bloomingdale’s JJ Santiago (3-for-4) led a rally win sparking a three-run sixth with an RBI single, then adding another RBI hit an inning later as the Bulls defeated Plant on the road. Izzy Perez also had three its in the win, driving in two runs; Payton Jennings was 2-for-4 with two runs scored; Mason Johnson‘s productive out in the sixth gave the Bulls the lead for good; and Vaughn Osting went the distance allowing three earned on eight hits and struck out nine. Will Meade was 2-for2 with a double and two RBI for the Panthers; and Gio Benitez was 2-for-4 with a double, run and RBI.

Blount got out of the jam with a strikeout and a line out, then pitched three more scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out three as Crest defeated Sickles. Gryphons senior Emilio Salgado (2-for-4) doubled in the game’s first run, and Lee Melamut added and RBI fielder’s choice to the early lead. But the Chargers answered right back scoring two in both the first and second – highlighted by two Reuben Vasquez (2-for-3, RBI) singles, a Nico Cappucci (2-for-3, run) RBI single and a double by Josh CespedesZalen Hicks picked up the save by recording the final two outs of the game.

Alonso answered right back with three highlighted by a Jordan Campos two-run double and a David Hernandez RBI single. But two more errors in the fourth spoiled the Ravens night as Kelley drove in two with a single and the Cougars pulled away for the win.
