Jesuit senior Wilson Andersen scattered two singles while striking out a dozen in five innings, and belted a three-run home run as Jesuit won its 14th-straight district title. Junior Griffin Boesen hit two RBI doubles in the win, and Christian Sheffield was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored.

Land O’Lakes senior Christian Vollsteadt struck out seven, while allowing just two hits and two walks over six, shutout innings. The Gators’ leadoff Jose Leger walked to start the home-first and scored the first of his three runs in the win on a Brody Marks single lined to left. LOL scored four in the second inning to pull away with Evan Harris (3-for-3, 2 RBI, run) singling in a run with a bunt, and Ethan Barclay (2-for-4) clearing the bases with a line drive double to center; Jordan Scott singled in a run in the sixth and Vollsteadt was 2-for-3 with an RBI single. Braden Bodenstein hit a solo home run to right field in the seventh run for Wharton’s lone run.

Plant 1

Gaither senior Mathew Altman dealt the Cowboys to a district title, while improving to 12-0 on the season with nine strikeouts, one run allowed on six hits and no walks. Plant’s Coy Keller pitched four scoreless innings, until the Cowboys got going in the fifth inning with six runs – highlighted a run-scoring single by Ryan Deak (3-for-4, run) and a two-run single by Jacob Butler. Plant finally got to Altman in the seventh as Will Meade doubled to center and Eli Cruz doubled in a run to right, but the Cowboys ace ended the game with a strikeout. Gio Benitez was 2-for-3 with a double for the Panthers.
