One night after Tampa Catholic’s Michael Richards tossed no-hitter in the Crusaders season-opener, Bransen Angel, Alex Sotiropoulos, and Roman Corinti combined in a shutout victory over Wesley Chapel, scattering two Wildcats’ hits and striking out six. Vincent Docobo was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Rolando Jimenez doubled and scored. Senior Zack Showalter struck out 13 for Wesley Chapel, allowing just three hits and a single run.

Senior Ryan Fry struck out 12, allowing one run to Gaither before Elijah Dukes (3-for-3) belted a two run home run to center leading Wharton to a victory at home in tonight’s opener for each team. David Limbach had a pair of hits from the leadoff position, scoring on Dukes’ homer.
