#8 Newsome 4, Bloomingdale 2

Bloomingdale’s Pierce Collins led off the game with a home run, but Newsome pitcher Evan Dempsey quickly put that away, and sat down the Bulls hitters consistently all night. Dempsey struck out 11, while allowing just three more hits in his five innings on the mound. Dempsey would score the game-evener in the home-first on a Braden Moon single, and the Wolves took the lead for good on an Emil Marrero RBI ground out. The Wolves added a run each in the fourth and fifth, as Luke Peterson scored twice in the win. Collins also had a double and scored a run in the seventh on an Alex Vazquez single to left. But Marrero ended the game and earned the save with a strikeout.
