Sumner Sebastian Peralta broke an early tie with a solo home run in the third, highlighting a three-hit night for the senior. Winston Pennant doubled home a run to center in the fifth to add some much-needed insurance as Wharton got a strong night from Antonio Fawcett who led off the home-half of the first with a home run and added an RBI double in the fifth. Isaiah Welch pitched six innings, allowing two runs for the Stingrays and finishing with three strikeouts, and Luke Parson struck out a pair to earn the save. Daniel Duno was tagged with the loss for the Wildcats, allowing all three runs on seven hits, but struck out six; Chase Andress also had six strikeouts and allowed two hits across three innings of work.

Starting pitcher Liam Akins struck out eight, allowing just two hits in his five shutout innings and had three singles for Tampa Prep, as the Terrapins scored three early runs and added insurance late against visiting Walker. Senior Kyle Brill was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored, and took over on the mound with a pair aboard and no outs in the seventh, slamming shut the win with the final three outs. Lincoln Bailey (1-for-4, R) and Dennis Martino (1-for-1, run) drove in two runs apiece, while Jordan Della RoccaLangston Sallis, and Brett Batoff each had an RBI.

Santa Fe snuck out of Berkeley Prep with a one-run win scored in the seventh inning in a pitcher’s battle. Hawks junior Jameson McGuire led off the last inning with an infield single, moved over on a sac bunt and passed ball, then scored on a ground-ball fielder’s choice by Easton Branch to decide the game. McGuire also gave Santa Fe a complete-game, three hit, seven strikeout performance on the mound. For the Buccaneers senior Rivers Kurland  held Santa Fe to just two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings, striking out 12, and Carson Binder had two of his team’s three hits, including a double.

Riverview’s Anthony Shellman had two RBI doubles as the Sharks jumped out early against Freedom, then poured it on with a six-run third. Sophomore Parker Burt struck out five across six innings, allowing four unearned runs to earn the win. Jon Carlos Rodriguez scored three runs in the win; and Ryan Butner went 2-for-5 and scored twice for the Sharks. David Simpkins continued his hot start at the plate for the Patriots going 3-for-4, with an RBI and two runs scored.

Ravens leadoff hitter Rayond Llanes was 2-for-2, scoring both runs for Alonso in support of five Alonso pitchers who held visiting King to just two hits. Senior Bryan Alonso allowed one of those hits in his four innings of work, picking up the win with six strikeouts. Alonso also helped out his cause, driving in the deciding run on a RBI groundout in the first. Ravens junior Julian Batista struck out the side in the final inning to earn the save. For King, Gabriel Guillot allowed one earned, taking the loss; Caden Harrier worked 2 1/3 scoreless innings, struck out two; and Michael Pena worked a scoreless inning in relief.
