Lancers freshman Trigg Listerman tossed a five-inning no-hitter as Cambridge Christian handed Sarasota Christian its first loss of the season. Listerman had nine strikeouts and improves to 2-1 on the mound this season. Luca Gonzalez cleared the bases with a double in the second inning, added a second RBI double in the third and was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded giving the freshman five RBI. Alex Quintero finished 2-for-4 with two RBI, and Brody Bellomo tripled home a run in the win.

Lincoln Jordy‘s two-run double was more than enough for Newsome senior Aiden Dolan, who collected a dozen strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings, yielding two hits and three walks. Alec Chin was 1-for-3, with an RBI and run scored, and Trey Bosso went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Gaither’s Anthony Linares worked five innings, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk, while striking out seven.

Seffner Christian broke open with an eight-run second inning to put the game out of reach for visiting Shorecrest Prep. A two-run single by Bryce Nanns broke a tie game, and an RBI double by Uriah Bullock followed by an RBI single by Camden McBane built up an insurmountable lead. Brayden Nanns was 2-for-3 with an RBI double, and Kris Colondres went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBI. Junior Tyler Tate struck out six for the Crusaders, working 3 1/3 innings and allowing just two hits and two walks to earn the win.

Tampa Catholic pitcher Dominic Woodward and IRC’s Hunter Maddox fired strikes on Friday, as the Crusaders senior struck out 11, allowing an unearned run and allowing two hits to earn a win. Jose Carrero belted a two-run home run to center to give TC the lead in the fourth, Cole Bitman also homered to center an inning later, then added an RBI double to the win. Maddox struck out a dozen in a losing effort, allowing four runs on four hits, while he also doubled in the first inning and scored on an error. Talan Miranda struck out a pair in a clean final frame for the Crusaders.
