Seffner Christian took control in the second inning with freshman Mason McBane getting his team on the board with a two-run single, then added another RBI single in the fourth, and drove in his fourth run to end the game via mercy rule in the fifth. Sophomore Ryder Stephens held the Warriors to one hit and one walk, and struck out six in four innings to earn his second win of the season. Kris Colondres was 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and an RBI, Uriah Bullock went 2-for-3 with and RBI, and Juelz Sidoti was 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. The Crusaders will host Lakeland Victory Christian Tuesday at 4 pm in the district semifinal.

SLAM and Foundation traded three-run innings early, before the Spartans repeated the total in the second and held off the Panthers to advance to the district semifinals. Elio Quero had an RBI single in the first and doubled in a run in the second inning, and Jayden Jardine doubled and scored in the first and drove in the crucial sixth run in the second with a single. Dylan Harich pitched 2 1/3 innings for SLAM, allowing one run and striking out one to earn the win, and after a pair of singles allowed a run in the seventh, Jardine entered and finished off the game to earn a save with two strikeouts with the bases loaded. Luke Michie was 2-for-4 for FCA, with a run and RBI. SLAM will face top seed Cambridge Christian at Skyway Park on Tuesday at 3 pm in the district semifinal.

Bishop McLaughlin’s Jaden Soto led off the home-first with a double and senior Christopher Rodriguez started off a five-run first inning as the Hurricanes pushed the lead out to far for the Phoenix on Monday. Soto added an RBI double in the fourth, Rodriguez an RBI double as well, Keith Jacobs was 2-for-4 with two RBI, and Dylan McNeil struck out six, while allowing one earned run over five innings. Messiah Williams was 1-for-2 with an RBI sac fly and a run scored, Eric Garcia was 1-for-3 with a double and run, Joe DiCecco doubled and drove in a run, and Leighton Blaylock was 2-for-3 with a run scored for Brooks DeBartolo. Bishop McLaughlin will travel to face top seed Tampa Catholic on Tuesday at 4 pm.

CCC jumped out early scoring 10 runs in the first three innings with senior Phillip Skorewicz driving in a run with a single, driving in a run on a sac fly in the third, and hitting a triple in the sixth. CCC will face top seed Tampa Prep in tomorrow’s district semifinal.

Robinson junior Santiago Rojas held Chamberlain to four hits in a complete-game shutout with four strikeouts. The Knights loaded the bases with hits to start the game with Collin Rosenberg (3-for-4, RBI), Samuel Hyman (2-for-4, double) and Brady Capps (2-for-3) and got a run on a double play to get the score it needed. Rosenberg’s RBI double in the second pushed the game well out of reach, and Capps had a double in the third. Robinson will face the #1-seeded Dragons at Jefferson on Tuesday at 7:30 in the district semifinals.

King senior Jonathan Williams led off the home-first with a double and scored the eventual deciding run on an error – the first of his three runs scored in the win. Xavier Gori was 3-for-3 with a double, three run and three RBI as King made short work of Teneroc in the opening round of the district tournament. Nico Brown went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, and Martin Galo was 2-for-2 with three RBI. King will take on #2-seed Lakeland McKeel Academy at Jefferson on Tuesday at 5 pm.

Clearwater senior Ty Woodring pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout while striking out 11 leading the Tornadoes to a first-round win. Dylan Wood and Brayden Howard singled in runs in the first inning to give Clearwater all the runs needed, Eduardo Alfredo was 3-for-4 with a double, run and RBI, and Carlos Alfredo went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a runs cored. Victor Mendez was 2-for-3 for Blake. Clearwater will play Countryside in the 4A-9 semifinal on Tuesday.

Senior Charles Revi Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a double and scored three times, Francis Ovalles was 2-for-4 with an RB and Joemiis Stoman and Jacob Sjerven drove in runs in the win. Tate Hancock was 3-for-4 for Middleton with a run and RBI, Darrion Marchman went 3-for-4, Suhaan Vusirikala was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Tyler Holland went 1-for-2 with a run scored. Brandon will travel to Jesuit to take on the top-seed Tiger, Tuesday at 7 pm.

Hillsborough senior Adriano Parral struck out 11 in a complete-game win against Freedom, as the Terriers capitalized on a two-out Patriots error in the second inning. After an error allowed a run to score, Hillsborough built on to the lead with five runs with doubles by Daniel PenaOswald Font (three RBI) and a bases-loaded walk drawn by Evan Isaac. Freedom’s Devon Acord was 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Gavin Tarr and Jacob Antle had RBI in the loss, while David Simpkins struck out 11 in 4 1/3 innings of relief. Hillsborough will travel to take on #1 East Bay at 7 pm on Tuesday in the district semifinal.

Horizon’s Michael Singer struck out 14 across 6 2/3 innings, allowing two hits. Jan Carlos Rodrigues and stole second in the sixth inning, and the Sharks got a walk, a Driston Marino single, and another walk to load the bases in the seventh inning, but couldn’t get a run across. Brady Rebello pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief, not allowing a hit and struck out two.

Armwood freshman Inri Beltre held TBT to one run on three hits in a four-inning win, striking out four. The Hawks answered a first-inning Titans run (an RBI single by James Williams scoring Luke Jones), tying the game in the second on an RBI hit by Elijah Battiste (2-for-3, 2 R, 2 RBI), and took control with a pair of runs in the third highlighted by an RBI single by Christian Villanueva (3-for-4, 3B, 4 RBI), Princeton Clark was 1-for-4 with a double, three RBI and three runs, and Rhys Brush was 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs. Armwood travels to South Tampa to face top seed Plant on Tuesday evening at 7 pm.

After falling behind early in the game, Alonso tied things in the fifth and walked it off against Sumner loading the bases and winning it on a squeeze bunt by Joshua Abrahante. With one out in the seventh, Jordan Brautigam (RBI sac fly in the fifth) singled to the left side, Jordan Campos (who drove in a pair with a single in the Ravens’ three-run fifth) was intentionally walked, followed by an Aidan Sansing walk to load the bases. Julian Batista struck out eight for Alonso, allowing two earned run over six inning, and Marcelo Diaz Villalon picked up the win in relief with one, no-hit inning and one strikeout. Sumner jumped out in the second with three runs with Eric Farmer leading off with a singled, moving up on a sac bunt and a balk and scoring on a Luke Parson single, before two more scored on a Ravens error Ethan DeJesus allowed three runs in five innings and had nine strikeouts in a no-decision. Alonso will travel to face #2 Newsome on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

Palm Harbor 4 – six innings

Plant City exploded late, rewarding a solid pitching performance from junior Jake Carbaugh (4.2ip, 1 ER, 3 H, 4 BB, 8 K). Holding a one-run lead, Carbaugh helped his cause with a one-run single sparking a seven run fifth inning, which also featured an RBI from Keegan Wilkerson who went 4-for-4 in the win with a double, three RBI and two runs scored. Drew Cothren was 2-for-3 with a double, triple, two runs and three RBI and Salvadore Jaramillo was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI. Plant City will travel to face No. 1-seed Strawberry Crest in the district semifinal on Tuesday.
