Jesuit claimed its 13th-straight district title as junior Wilson Andersen pitched five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out eight to pickup his sixth win of the season. The Tigers took control early as senior Robby Santana put up his fourth multi-RBI game in a row, with a two-run triple in the first inning. Bryce Besece added an RBI sac fly to the first, and later drove in a run on a single; Vincent DeCarlo was 4-for-4 with two RBI; Andersen walked, stole a pair of bases and scored a run; Kaeden Waechter was 1-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs; and Ben Burke pitched two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit, one walk, and striking out one. In the FHSAA’s last updated rankings (4/8/25) Jesuit was the No. 1 ranked team in Class 4A, so that shouldn’t change after adding four more wins and a district title.

Five East Bay batters had a multi-hit game as the Indians claimed a district title. Spoto struck first however, scoring two runs on an error after David Ruiz Jr (2-for-3) and Qwenlen Bennett picked up two-out singles. But the Indians steadily chipped away, Connor Gavigan driving in a run with a single in the home-first, then East Bay tied it on a Jaxson Farchione (2-for-2) hit, and took the lead for good on a single by Ethan Cunningham; Jonathan Bryant had an RBI sac fly and a two-run double in the win, Rowland Ruiz Jr. was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, Rory Beauford Jr. was 2-for-4 with a triple RBI and two runs, and Jeffrey Diab was 2-for-3 with a run and RBI. JJ Groover earned the win, pitching four innings giving up two unearned runs with four strikeouts, and Gavigan struck out seven in 2 1/3 innings of relief. Bloomingdale’s John Ramos hit a pinch-hit walk-off single in the ninth inning to push the Bulls to a district title win over Durant after a quartet of pitchers shoved all night from Valrico. The Bulls got a one-out double from Isaiah Perez in the first inning, loaded the bases on a walk and a Luke Long single, before Vaughn Osting gave his team an early lead with an RBI sac fly to center. Starting pitcher Javier Navas-Hoyer worked 4 2/3 innings before running into some trouble in the fifth – a pair of singles and a walk setting up Brantley Hayward‘s RBI sac fly to tie the game and chase the Bulls junior pitcher from the game. Osting took over on the mound and struck out three, holding the Cougars to one hit and one walk the final 4 1/3 innings, and struck out three while earning the win. Durant senior Owen Franklin held Bloomingdale to one run on five hits and struck out eight in 5 2/3 innings, and Tristan Macpherson took the loss allowing one unearned. Shawn Graves was 2-for-4 for the Cougars, and Cooper Hughes was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Mason Johnson and Cesar Campos were both 2-for-4 for the Bulls in the win.

#5 Wharton 8
Sunlake 4
Jarius Morris‘ leadoff double in the second kicked off a six-run inning for the Wildcats and that was all junior pitcher Daniel Duno needed to hold off a Sunlake charge and earn the Wildcats a district title. After the Seahawks took a first-inning lead on a Matt Anthony home run to right, the Wildcats got going an inning later when Jeremiah Brown tied the game with a single, Chris Stroud dropped down a squeeze bunt to give Wharton a lead, and hits from Drew Cobb and Anthony Fawcett pushed the lead out far enough. Sunlake scratched back three runs in the third highlighted by RBI hits from Lucas Zarlenga and a run-scoring single from Anthony, but Duno limited further damage working six innings and striking out eight, before Chase Andress finished off the final inning.

Sickles loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth and senior Jaden Nazar sent a fly ball to left field to drive in Jordan Yost with a walk-off RBI sac fly, as the Gryphons avenged last season’s district final loss to East Lake. The two teams played scoreless through three innings before the Eagles got on the board in the fourth inning on an Eli Millian Rbi single to centerfield. Sickles answered in the fifth with a two-run double from Connor Bly. The two teams went back-and-forth the next two inning, East Lake putting up four in the top of the sixth highlighted by RBI hits from Dylan Taft (2-for-4, run) and Drew Gerber, but the Gryphons would force extra innings, tying the game on a two run hit by Emilio Salgado and a Brandon Gonzales RBI sac fly. Ben Durda earned the win in relief, allowing one run over three innings, with two hits allowed and one strikeout.
