Indian Rocks Christian and Cambridge Christian traded big innings as the Lancers won out in the sixth inning when Ian Jansen‘s three-run homer to left field put the Lancers ahead for good kicking off a six-run inning. Alex Quintero went 2-for-2 with a triple, double, two RBI, two walks and three runs scored; and Blake Hafner was 2-for-3 with two RBI, and pitched two hitless, scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Quinn Taylor was 1-for-2 with a double, three RBI and a run scored for the Eagles, Hayden Perez went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI, and Austin Leiher was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Berkeley Prep senior Rivers Kurland tossed a five inning one-hitter and struck out six, with no walks as the Buccaneers won the first game of the region quarterfinals on the road in Naples. Ben O’Brien doubled with two outs in the second and Jett Walters singled in the deciding run, and Mason Warren‘s RBI single added some insurance as BPS used 11 hits to end things early. Parker Mitzel was 2-for-4 with a grand slam and a double and a run; JD Haughey hit a solo home run; and Joseph Troupe was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI.

Three Calvary Christian singles broke open a scoreless game in the sixth inning as Warriors senior Darian Collins (2-for-3) singled to centerfield and scored two runs. Calvary Christian senior Grayson Gibson struck out 13 and held Jefferson to two hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings before hitting his pitch-count limit, and fellow senior Cameron Uzzillia struck out the final batter of the game to earn the save. Jefferson sophomore Ethan Savinon worked six innings allowing six hits and two runs, while striking out five.

Jesuit junior Wilson Andersen tossed a five inning no-hitter striking out 11 as the Tigers won the first game of its region quarterfinal series over Bonita Springs. The first of two Robby Santana (2-for-2, three RBI) doubles put the deciding run on the board in the first inning, Bryce Besece had and RBI sac fly and a two-run single, and Samir Mohammed hit a solo home run and singled in a pair in the game.
