A pair of errors gave Cambridge Christian two early runs and the Lancers got a third run in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk to hold off Seffner Christian from Skyway Park on Thursday. Lancers senior Will Snider pitched five innings, allowed one run on three hits and three walks, while striking out six to pick up the win; and Blake Hafner allowed one run over the final two innings, gave up for hits and struck out three to notch a save. Rhyder Stephens took a tough decision for the Crusaders, allowing just one earned run over 4 2/3 innings with one hit and two strikeouts. Uriah Bullock homered for Seffner Christian, and the Crusaders rallied in the seventh getting a run on a Camden McBane, but Hafner ended the game with the tying run in scoring position with a strikeout.

Two Patriots’ squads traded two-run halves of the sixth inning, before walks piled up and Grace Christian scored a walk-off run after tagging up on a foul ball out in the eighth inning. CDS got singles from Luke Anderson and Tommy Porta to start the sixth, and both would score on a line drive double to centerfield by Beck Meier. But Grace Christian would respond right back with a leadoff single by Elias Melendez in the home-half, an RBI double by Bryce Purkey and an RBI single from Kyler Rickenbach to tie the game. Carrollwood Day junior Shawn Harvey Jr. had 10 strikeouts over seven innings on the mound for a no-decision, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks; Purkey went five innings with two runs on six hits, three walks and four strikeouts; but it was junior Alex Perez who got the win with three scoreless innings of relief for Grace Christian, giving up just one hit and striking out six.

A Reuben Vasquez RBI triple to center proved the difference as Strawberry Crest stretched a lead out enough to hold off Sumner. Saxon Shah pitched 2 2/3 scoreless baseball, allowing three hits and two walks with three strikeouts, before turning over the ball to Jayden Taylor worked himself into and out of a bases-loaded jam to end the third and earn the win. Toby Highsmith and Bubba Blount both had RBI hits in the win and Josh Cespedes was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Winston Pennant doubled twice with a run and RBI for the Stingrays; Isaiah Romano also doubled twice; and Erik Farmer went 1-for-3 with a double and a run.

Ihonathan Perez broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth with an RBI single round through the left side, and the Ravens added some insurance the next inning with an RBI single by Aiden Sansing and a Maikol Madueno RBI sac fly; Raymond Llanes went 3-for-4 in the win with a triple and two runs scored. Wilkendry Rodriguez came on in relief with two on and one out and walked the bases loaded before finishing off the game with a pair of strikeouts and earning a save. Jaxon Murphy sent a single into right in the fourth to drive in the Wolves lone run.

Gaither won its sixth-straight behind a county-leading sixth win on the mound for Matt Altman (6ip, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K). SJ Branham got the Cowboys the first lead in the opening inning with a RBI groundout; East Bay answered with a run off a Qwenlen Bennett productive out; but Will Wade doubled in the deciding run in the home-second as the Cowboys won a pitching duel. Xavier Rosario singled to center to drive in a run in the fourth (Ivan Vasquez, who scored twice) and Rosario would score on a passed ball. Adam Smolka struck out the side in the seventh to pick up his fourth save.

Kyle Beauchamp allowed two earned runs over 2 2/3 innings, struck out five and picked up the win, while Landon Pearce went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. For the Warriors Zach Pepper went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs, and had five strikeouts on the mound.

The 10 Raiders’ hits supported four shutout innings from Jake Carbaugh who allowed a single and a walk while striking out nine. Plant and Osceola played to a 2-2 stalemate through seven innings, before a Jordan Olivia singled started off extra innings, an error pushed him to third and a wild pitch provided the Panthers the winning edge in a pitching showdown. Both teams scored a run in the first inning with Olivia walking and scoring on a Gio Benitez single to left; and Warriors senior Richard Stegbauer answered with a solo home run to right in the home-half. Will Meade‘s RBI single to right field in the third (also scoring Olivia) gave the Panthers another brief lead, and Osceola took advantage of two Plant errors in the fourth, tying the game on a ground out from Diego Conley. Kolt Patterson pitched five innings for the Panthers, allowed one earned run on one hit and three walks and struck out four in a no-decision, before Joel Salinas pitched three shutout innings of relief with just two hits to pick up the win. For the Warriors, Leo Alvarado worked 4 1/3 innings allowed two earned and struck out four in a no-decision, and Stegbauer struck out five, allowed one unearned run on one hit and two walks while taking a loss.

Berkeley senior Ben O’Brien made his first start on the mound this season, working a clean inning with one strikeout, and was 2-for-3 with a run scored on offense; Parker Mitzel earned the win, pitching two innings, allowing two runs (one earned) and striking out three, and Owen Schmitt earned his second save limiting damage in the seventh inning and finishing off the game. Tampa Prep senior Langston Sallis was 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored; Jordan Della Rocca was 2-for-4; and Luc Thornton was 3-for-3 with three runs scored.
