Cambridge Christian broke open a tie game in the fourth inning as Ian Jansen (2-for-4, two runs, three RBI) drove home a pair with a single to give the Lancers a lead, before Braiden Price (2-for-4) put things to bed with a grand slam to lead a six-run rally. Nathan Hazard was 2-for-4 with a homer and three runs scored for the Lancers; Luca Gonzalez doubled and scored twice; and Trigg Listerman got his sixth win on the mound, allowing two unearned runs over four innings, with eight strikeouts, while also going 1-for-2, with three walks and two RBI. Cambridge Christian will host Foundation Christian in Thursday’s district championship from Tampa’s Skyway Park, at 7 pm.

Wharton spotted senior Cooper Antalek an early lead, with some two-out hitting in the first inning, Chase Anello singled and scored on a Jairius Morris RBI triple; then the Wildcats added two more on an error the next inning, and one more on a Tomas Rivera RBI sac fly. Rivera added a two-run homer in the sixth (scoring Connor Evans, who was 2-for-4 with a double); and Chase Andress homered to center in the third. Antalek took the lead and held the Seahawks to one run on six hits, while striking out seven to earn his fourth win.

Ivan Vasquez was 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored for the Cowboys; Jose Gutierrez went 3-for-4 with three RBI; Yenier Chirinos had an RBI hit-by-pitch, and cleared the bases with a three-run double; and Noah Lockler pitched 2 2/3 innings, struck out six and allowed one run on one hit to earn his sixth win of the year.

Lee Melamut was 3-for-4 with three RBI; Jake Taylor was 2-for-3 with a run scored; Peter Tsikouris scattered two runs over 4 1/3 innings, to earn the win, before Ryan Caravajal closed out the game and earned the save with three strikeouts over he final eight outs. Sickles will travel to face No. 1-seeded East Lake on Thursday to decide the district championship.

Carrollwood Day put up seven, two-out runs in the fifth to pull away from Brooks DeBartolo on Tuesday. Luke Anderson singled in a pair to give the Patriots a lead, Matty Coniglio hit a three-run homer to right, and Charlie Cooperman doubled in a pair. Freshman Cooper Williams earned the win with five innings pitched, one run allowed on four hits with six strikeouts. Gabriel Machado was 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Phoenix, and Will Cameron-Stuart was 1-for-3 with a two-run double. Carrollwood Day will face Tampa Catholic on Wednesday (from Berkeley Prep) at 4 pm in the district semifinal.

Bell Creek scored a pair in the first, including an RBI triple by Evan Booker (2-for-3, 2 RBI) to support his own cause as the senior righty went five innings, allowed one unearned run on three hits, a walk and had three strikeouts to earn his fifth win of the season and book the Panthers a spot in the semifinals against top seed Clearwater Central Catholic on Wednesday. William Miller was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI; Braylin Wilson went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI; and Landon Pearce went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored.

Chase Pawloski went 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Lions; and Cameron Davis hit a two-run double in the third. Chamberlain will face top-seeded Jefferson in the semifinals at 7 pm on Wednesday.

Leto junior Brihan Diaz held Morgan scoreless on one hit and four walks, while striking out three over four innings as the Falcons advanced to Wednesday’s district semifinal against No. 2-seed Freedom. Daniel Gonzalez got Leto started with an RBI single in the first, and added two runs to the Falcons tally later in the win; Alex Abreu went 3-for-3, with a double, three RBI and two runs; Diaz helped his own cause going 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI; and Adriano Alonso came on in relief in the seventh and got a strikeout to end the game. A trio of walks and a Bryce Black RBI sac fly accounted for the Mustangs lone run.

Spoto junior Ryker Luna made some action happen on the bases, walking to lead off the sixth, stealing second, moving to third on a wild pitch and scoring a crucial run on a passed ball. The Terriers answered with an Artemis Monier RBI single, but Nathan Rodriguez clamped down from there, finishing the final two innings with six strikeouts as the Spartans advance to face No. 1-seed East Bay in Wednesday’s district semifinal. Antonio Roberts was 3-for-4 with a double, Levert Sims Jr doubled in Eli Sims, and Braylen Byrd traded places with Levert Sims in the third, and Rodriguez plated a run on a productive out in the fourth. Hillsborough jumped out to an early lead with two in the first – highlighted by a Juan Pena RBI single; and Angel Smith was 2-for-3. Byrd pitched five innings for the Spartans, earning the win while allowing two runs (one earned) and struck out six.

Durant answered a seven-run Riverview sixth with a six-run response to tie the game, and with the bases loaded in the seventh, sophomore Caleb Lambert (2-for-3, two RBI, run) lined a walk-off single to right to move the Cougars to the 6A-6 district semifinal – where Durant will travel to face Winter Garden Horizon on Wednesday. Senior Jackson McClellan hit a solo home run, and RBI single and doubled as a part of the Cougars seventh inning; Shawn Graves was 2-for-3, with two RBI and a run; Aidan Junttilab was 3-for-4 with a run scored, and pitched five innings, allowed one earned run and struck out five in a no-decision; and Haydn May struck out one in a scoreless seventh inning to earn the win. Riverview tied the game in the sixth on a passed ball, before taking the lead with seven runs – highlighted by a Yadiel Rivera-Morales RBI single and a two-run single by Chase Montminy (2-for-3, double); and Justin Edwards (two runs) and Jordan Shultz (two RBI, run) each had two hits for the Sharks.
