20th Annual Mulry “Stars of the Future” Clinic
goes virtual on Saturday
STAFF REPORT
TAMPA – Another shakeup to a format due to the pandemic, but this is still a CAN’T MISS youth event – now in its 20th Year. Retired, multi-time state champion Tampa Catholic baseball coach Peter Mulry brings his wonderful “Stars of the Future: Life Skills Through Sports” clinic virtually this Saturday, Jan. 9th at 9 a.m. The event will run on the Peter J. Mulry Facebook Page (click here).
This annual free event is always packed with great instructors and coaches of the games of softball and baseball. Joining the legendary Coach Mulry for this online event this season will be former Colorado Rockies and Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle, Plant High alum and Rockies pitcher Mychal Givens, and Rays broadcaster and former MLB player Orestes Destrade, just to name a few.
This will be a wonderful way for you to spend a Saturday morning with your youth baseball/softball players (ages 7-to-13). The event is free to all players and parents, but the Peter J. Mulry Foundation is asking for attendees to sign up in advance for the virtual event.
